While this is disappointing news for the ff1600 comunity, I think it proves a very BIG point that in fact the ff1600.co.uk team were indeed correct to hold onto their website much to the protest of others who thought they new better.
Had ff1600.co.uk been handed over it would now lie empty. At least this way we can live in the hope that one day it may be resurected. |

I also think it brings into stark relief the effort & commitment that Ian, Matt and the other contributors put into to keeping the old site as well updated and maintained as it was

Although I did want to see FF1600news.com work along the same lines as FF1600.co.uk, a good job oppurtunity has meant that I have very little time now to work on it.
It's a shame, but as I'm now a pro photographer I wouldn't be able to get to many FF races anyway, so I'd feel out of touch. |
