Chris Townsend should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Now know from report in Autosprint of the 1977 Vallelunga F2 race that Lapeyre's car was MK19-002

Any chance that MK16-001 became MK19-001 and that MK19-002 became MK22-02?

MK22-001 is used by Arnoux at Hockenheim 17 April 77, and is a special longwheelbase car used as the team spare. (Also raced by Arnoux at Enna and Pironi at Estoril.) MK19-002 is at some of those races, so no it's not the same, but it is updated to 22 spec during 1977. I have 22-002 observed with Arnoux at Estoril but I think it's a typo as it conflicts with observations at Thruxton and Vallelunga.
22-001 works spare
22-002 ?
22-003 Arnoux regular car
22-004 Pironi regular car
22-005 Martini
However, I don't think that MK19-002 became 22-002 as it is still running 19-002 plate after all the other cars are built

MK16-001 and MK19-001 appear together at Thruxton 1976, so no chance of overlap. 16-001 carried as Martini spare for early season 76

SBI should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Martini also delivered bare chassis plus pieces to tuners/builders like R.O.C.

At Pau they are joined by Dhotel and Auvray [9 and 10?]. Albera is missing having bent his car at Barcelona the previous week.
At Montlhery 23 May appears Perrier [011?]
At Clermont Ferrand 20 June appears Morel [012]
Since they all appear together at some point these seem to be twelve different cars.

Chris
Hi Perrier car was s/n 10.
I'm looking about articles (Autosport magazine) / pictures of the 1971 saison of the French F3 championship
thanks
