Short break here for a bit of maintenance, I should be back a bit after the 6-hour mark.

The 908's reliability seems fine to me. I don't think the factory teams haven't had a problem in about 40 hours straight of racing, from Le Mans '09 to Petit '09 to Sebring '10

Audi has only run this race!?, you can't compare those 2 based on this race, which isn't over yet.

Well you could say the same about this race, Peugeot Sport isn't here and the privateer 908 had early problems and hasn't been able to put pressure on the R15+, showing possible flaws.
The old R15 was also reliable, except when it was pushed.

Well thats what I said - the last few races (how many outings did the 908 have in '09?). Before that ('07 & '08) they had two full seasons of racing are were still losing races due to unreliability - clearly the new car is going to need to be better screwed together straight from the first race.
Peugeot raced enough to being able to say they where reliable.
Winning Le Mans in a 1-2, completing Sebring and PLM, shows that the 908 (in Peugeot Sports hands) is reliable.

Ok. Oreca has a 908 in the same specs as the works cars, an works driver (Sarrazin) and very good mates. The crew is experienced, the team too, however is not comparable to Peugeot Sport. It was licit to expect something more...
I admit with Pug Sport it should be just another music... just like in Sebring with Audi.

If they keep going for another half hour or so, we will have had 24 hours in the Le Mans Series with no safety car.

Did Allan McNish just confirm Aston Martin is sandbagging in hopes of more restrictions on the diesels at Le Mans?

'It's obvious Aston Martin is racing with Le Mans in mind' - McNish

I think... yes!
Aston Martin is not sure to take place in P1 next year, if performance will not be balanced between diesel and petrol cars.

Well what good is sandbagging when you have a whole new set of motor rules for next year? I love seeing the Aston in lmp1 but Jesus are they a group of complainers. And this coming from a company who didn't even build their own car!

There's some kind of issue with the #009's driver transponder, the driver name has just vanished off the timing screen.
