Short break here for a bit of maintenance, I should be back a bit after the 6-hour mark.

The 908's reliability seems fine to me. I don't think the factory teams haven't had a problem in about 40 hours straight of racing, from Le Mans '09 to Petit '09 to Sebring '10

The old R15 was also reliable, except when it was pushed. Quote:
Winning Le Mans in a 1-2, completing Sebring and PLM, shows that the 908 (in Peugeot Sports hands) is reliable. |

Ok. Oreca has a 908 in the same specs as the works cars, an works driver (Sarrazin) and very good mates. The crew is experienced, the team too, however is not comparable to Peugeot Sport. It was licit to expect something more...
I admit with Pug Sport it should be just another music... just like in Sebring with Audi. |

If they keep going for another half hour or so, we will have had 24 hours in the Le Mans Series with no safety car.

Did Allan McNish just confirm Aston Martin is sandbagging in hopes of more restrictions on the diesels at Le Mans?

Well what good is sandbagging when you have a whole new set of motor rules for next year? I love seeing the Aston in lmp1 but Jesus are they a group of complainers. And this coming from a company who didn't even build their own car!

There's some kind of issue with the #009's driver transponder, the driver name has just vanished off the timing screen.

It does now, but this is the second time it's vanished for a couple of minutes.
Rain on the way? |
