Le Mans will be in full on Eurosport & a well informed source has told me that Spa will also recieve decent (albeit not full) coverage.
MotorsTV are showing the non-ILMC euro rounds & no other LM races (unless a last ditch non-ILMC ALMS deal is reached). From that, we can deduce that Eurosport have the rights to ILMC so not even a crystal ball could tell you what they actually will show. I have heard no suggestion of any mainstream coverage (live or otherwise). |

Half an hour from the end plus a 50-min highlight show... maybe some Carlton Kirby coverage from the start, but only if there's no replay of some regional german soccer match scheduled to be aired on that day. Wouldn't bet against that, would you

Pescarolo targets ILMC in 2012.
IMO this could signal the LMS top class becoming P2. http://translate.google.co.uk/transl...%26prmd%3Divns Edit, LMS may split from ILMC, even running at the same tracks on different dates if the translation is correct. HD cameras to be used from Spa onwards. http://translate.google.co.uk/transl...%26prmd%3Divns |

Not sure how good it would be for the LMS to not run together with ILMC. Do they think that by running separate dates they'll attract more entries? The calendars are already becoming cluttered with ILMC and ALMS, plus the GT championships.
Teams that may have thought about Paul Ricard or Estoril won't be there because of the clashes with ILMC. A lot of calendar gymnastics would be necessary for everything to work and even then it's not crystal clear that the teams will have money to do 3/4 more races. |

manuf get the combined points of 2 best cars in the category, +1 or+2 bonus points for engine depending if both cars ran their engines more the 15h, or just one one none, an +1 for pole |

So for team title it is 2 against 2 (Peugeot Sport against Audi Sport Team Joest), but for the manufacturer's cup it is 3 against 2 thanks to the Oreca entry. |

I dont understand LMS's beef with the ILMC in 2012. Can anyone else provide some insight on this subject? 3 of the 5 LMS races are ILMC. So far the 2011 Ricard entry list is impressive IMO. I am in the united states and I am interested in watching all 5 LMS races. So only 2 races for the LMS are not ILMC and the 1st of the 2 the entry looks impressive. They dont even have the 9 challange porsches like ALMS has to add to the grid. IMO LMS looks pretty good from here in the states. Yea a team can do whatever they want but I dont see the LMS suffering as much as making a dramatic change to disconnect from the ILMC in 2012. Any thoughts?

I assume the Peter organisation makes it's money from entry fees and TV rights.
In that case it makes sense for them to drop P1, bring in Speed and GT3 cars to push numbers upto the 40+ mark, compete at more affordable circuits and sell their own TV rights*. They'll have stable season long grids and perform the role of bringing teams/drivers from national series and preparing them for the step-up to the ILMC. *I believe the ACO assume TV rights for ILMC races. |

well, if they bring in GT3 and Speed to go along with the GT2s and LMPs, it could work. They have to make up for the LMP1 departure or high reduction to compensate the independence run.
