Macau would be ridiculous for an endurance race. But I would love a sprint race there with prototypes!

Good god, I thought after Spa they would realize that the copy/paste function doesnt work very well for posters. Backdrop of circuit is pretty good but the placement of the cars destroys it. Playboy should make a great sponsor. Forgot that in less than 3 weeks we are back to action for the ILMC, and just less than 2 weeks until the Nurburgring 24 Hour. |

No Oreca Peugeot for 6 hrs Imola
http://www.endurance-info.com/versio...ance-7501.html ( http://www.endurance-info.com/2011_I...List_Imola.pdf ) I only one question: Why? So, they would have full entry, so money budget and they prefer to start in USA Petit Le Mans, or why? Any more tubs (like last year, when Peugeot change from 04 to 05, but it is nonsense. Peugeot have a lot of spare 908 HDi Fap chassis ). |

They'll be at Silverstone, perhaps they're engaged elsewhere during the Imola weekend.

Putting two and two together and making five perhaps, but one of two things here regarding Oreca:
1) they bashed the old Pug around a bit in the last few hours at Le Mans, so possible issues with availability of spare parts 2) maybe they're waiting for a brand-new 2011-spec 908 for Silverstone? EDIT: According to John Dagys, the Oreca Peugeot is not on the entry list due to shortage of spares after Le Mans. Last edited by Victor_RO; 21 Jun 2011 at 18:42. |

Adding other numbers together to make other numbers: maybe Le Mans was the last time we will see Oreca running a Peugeot?

Official info from Oreca:
http://www.oreca-racing.com/2011/06/...%80%99impasse/ Like Hugues de Chaunac said... " The Season was dense, we do not play the title and we prefer therefore we reserve for other maturities. For various reasons, including equipment, we will not be starting the 6 Hours of Imola. " But I say to think, it a pity. Oreca can score strong points for Peugeot for manufacturer cup, and had a chance. Sad. So that is like a Victor_RO said, point number 1 is slightly right. And maybe one too, I had some ideas when seasion had started, Oreca would switch to new 908. So, we will see at Silverstone and after that... but I start a little worry . But like FordCosworthPanoz said, That sucks |

So why enter the ILMC? it's not as if there has been a late schedule change.
By rights, skipping Imola should cost ORECA a eu30,000 fine - next year, the penalty for skipping a race you have comitted to with no force majure (ie you trashed your car at the last race) should be exclusion from the following 24hr. Not certain? don't commit - this isn't a national club GT series. Big Boys games, Big Boys rules. simple. |

Well...my guess is you won't see a WEC round this close to Le Mans next year.
Something similar happened in 2007 when lots of teams were not happy with the 1000 KM of the Nurburgring taking place on the first weekend of July, just two weeks after Le Mans. As a result there was no race in July in 2008 and 2009 and in 2010 the teams went to Portimao mid-July, still five weeks after Le Mans. This year we're back on the first weekend of July - three weeks after Le Mans - and again we have teams complaining or pulling out. |

I wonder if the ACO will even bother to try to collect that from Oreca.
It looks like a Fireman is joining the 58 Luxury Racing squad at Imola according to the entry list. I'm guessing they mean Firman, although having a fireman onboard could help given the 458's reputation! |
