LMP3 field it seems
And that weird looking yellow McLareny thing but it was passed quick GTD Pro will be fuel race, looks like top 3 need fuel and BMW could sneak through Blomqvist can not look down track at all can he? Almost lost the car going to the wrong side of an LMP3, and seems like he doesn't look more than a car on front. Multiple GTDs he caught on line instead of moving off line like Albuquerque did |

That wasn't a block, Tom flipping hit the GTD car in the corner. He's an idiot and can't place that car at all. Multiple times he's run up other cars or outside to a narrowing track to pass, dude look DOWN the road some

Ha ha ha
#10 should kiss the official's hands (or asses if they prefer) for that extra lap of yellow before the restart... |

That's a bit harsh! But I agree for the most part; Blomqvist's race craft has been showed up in this race. A more savvy driver wins that comfortably for MSR.

I wonder if the 10 was just running to stay ahead at times but certainly it all got dicey with traffic! Stayed clean and green the whole last stint, just to point that out.

Ok harsh but yes, if he makes a couple other moves he's easily in front and stays there. It's not just fast laps but getting the most out of opportunities and not screwing up others races. He cost the GTD MB 2 places pushing him wide and almost lost his place to Bourdais a couple times there.

MSR Acura seemed to have a bit more pace but it wasn't enough to make a pass, even though they were quite lucky in traffic. Or shall I say, not enough for Blomqvist

Wait wait wait, it's not over folks. Heart of Racing wins both GTD classes, and even more fun, the GTD car wins over the GTD Pro car as well
25 RLL and 57 Windward both moved to back of the field after adjusted drive time infractions. Also LMP3 3rd place of Andretti lost for same reason |

Between you and me i just presumed the race wasn't going to restart so i missed the ending.
Did any penalty come about for the LMP2 cars making contact with the Peregrine Lambo? That was terrible. |

No clue why they didn't do that at 1:00:00 or immediatly when they threw the red. So, 35 minutes if racing it is. Make that 30 minutes because they started counting down when the engines restarted Make that 25 minutes because they need to run behind the safety car for a few laps Make that 22 minutes because we do an extra lap of yellow for no reason except because we can All the while the #10 crew sat there, laughing |

Clock keeps running as normal. I missed them stopping the clock - watching Goodwood - did you see the fan car, However this meant they could make a decision on a sensible end time / the conditions / trying to give us more racing / if possible not having a silly short 2 lapper or whatever. Whatever not straight forward.
They have to wait until 30 minutes after the last lightning strike in the area. They have the normal FCY yellow process to get through. Stopping the clock didn’t help #10. But the process did. Ultimately we saw race control do what they do. Similar to Sebring, except this time they had the opportunity to give us some more racing. Nothing is ideal. Didn’t look good for #10 when they stopped the clock, but they got the breaks after. |

Wait, wait, wait and WAIT, it's not over yet. Lots of socks and shoes off counting and figuring over at IMSA.
S365 updates today include: No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW (Bryan Sellers, 1:13), No. 12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 (Aaron Telitz, 1:02) No. 32 Team Korthoff Motorsports Mercedes (Mike Skeen, 1:15) NTE Sport Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo (Marco Holzer, 1:15) Crucial Motorsports McLaren 720S GT3 (Paul Holton, 1:08) No. 99 Hardpoint Porsche 911 GT3 R (Katherine Legge, 1:10). Previously announced: No. 25 Team RLL BMW M4 GT3 (John Edwards, 1:01), No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo (Philip Ellis, 1:16:04) No. 36 Andretti Autosport Ligier JS P320 Nissan (Gabby Chaves, 1:08) Minimum was 1:30 for all except DPi, reduced to 1:17. What do you make of the drive time penalties? For me it seems to be really dumb. How were teams supposed to know that a red flag was going to come out and to plan accordingly?
I mean, it was apparent from about 2:30 to go that cloud was building and the forecast was showing a chance of rain at some point but by that point presumably you are kinda stuck with the strategy that you have chosen? I dunno, maybe im out of touch, just seems ridiculous. |
