Remember the SAFUU logos on the HARD Cupras in 2022?

https://www.btcc.net/2022/04/07/team...e-partnership/

circa 15min mark references the team:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dcCzK3ExnM

My theory is TG got sucked into the promise of money from Bryan Legend which never arrived and have been fighting the fire/fallout from it since until it couldn't go any further.

Boardley said he owns one Cupra, the Patterson one, Chassis 75.

That car has never been on a registration of charge which adds up, a couple of the other Cupras have been through that process twice.

Boardley did sell his Infiniti to Hard (068) and that has been on a registration of charge form.

I suppose that confirms that he could go for it. I'm sure the BTCC would be happy to TBL an outfit that was competent and sensible enough to run two cars.

Boardley had two licenses in 2022, and one in 2023, when Hard moved from owning three to owning four.

In relationship to the E-Sports team a member of the team running it has asked for information on missing items of gaming equipment in the last day or so

Apologies I fluffed the link up, this video at 15.23 references the racing team in relation to SAFUU:

That makes more sense now. I was wondering how I scroll to the 15 min mark in a 12 min video.

Tony was promised money from Safuu (a deal put together by Dan Kirby) which never materialised, he was also let down by Re. Energise this year who basically got title sponsorship of 2 cars for almost no money, with the promise of a huge payday which never came.

I appreciate the branding did finally disappear for the last three rounds, but to have got 70% into the season carrying a sponsor who hasn't paid is crazy.

Other teams have scrapped sponsors off the cars 10 minutes before FP1 due to payment problems in the past.

True, but unfortunately one party to a contract not meeting their obligations doesn't actually just legally allow the other party to do likewise.

In most contracts there is generally a clause that allows for a suspension until those obligations have been met.

Take their situation with Nic Hamilton. The state of the preparation of his car at Croft was grounds for him to not meet his obligations to the team.

It's not as if Team HARD even have the money to take any of these people to court even if they did feel like they had a case....

Surely it does? You are not obligated to provide something the other party fails to pay for!

Sadly not. A basic premise of contract law is that one contractual breach gives no right to cause another contractual breach.

It depends on how the contract is written.

In UK law, provided any term is declared as a condition, then a breach of that contract condition, no matter how trivial, gives the other party the legal right to terminate.

As long as that term is written into the contract as a condition, then yes the contract can be terminated.

In my experience most business contracts, when prepared by a competent entity, always contains such clauses. The obvious caveat to what we are discussing here is that none of us are privy to the contract in this instance.

True - the rights of either party involved with the safuu / HARD contract are just speculation in this thread. Although, I think it is a fairly sound assumption that non-payment would have been a term detailed as a condition?

True, but termination is not always desired as it can badly affect the outcome of any future action.

he was sniffing around Sunderland, but they 'rejected' his offer, then a similar thing with Coventry, looks like Reading is next. Let's be honest, he couldn't afford a half snapped Subbuteo team from down the market.

Does anybody know (because I can't be bothered to delve into it tonight!) Am I right in thinking that Dudman owns the distributing arm or something that sponsored Power Maxed, then his own team/BTC, which is a separate company to the one that sponsored the BSB team, which is supposedly the drinks arm controlled by the bearded wonder?

Reading was the one I was thinking of. Wasn't aware the beardy chancer had tried it on with a couple of other clubs.

“Brief Statement: TBL Registrations

Due to very recent and complex on-going matters regarding the use of three TBLs in particular, TOCA has extended the initial registration timeframe to allow a sufficient period for the re-allocation of those TBLs to be finalised.

TOCA will issue the approved TBL list when this process has been concluded.”

We can presume that’s to do with Hard’s situation then?

I would imagine so. The number of TBLs makes sense as from memory only 3 TBLs belonged to HARD in the end (as they loaned 2 from Moffat and 1 from Boardley in 2023 in order to enter 6 cars).
