the car shouldn't be a problem but they'd need a sponsor....

From the Strakka Racing press release regarding Leventis and Hardman to be confirmed for Le Mans...wonder if they will join a certain German driver in the only DBR9 that has no drivers announced yet for the 24H

I don't recall, did Vitaphone already say they had purchased a DBR9? If not, then this makes complete sense.

Not that it's a great line-up...

Vitaphone should have at least Michael Bartels driving, it would great to see him joined by two other good drivers to show what Vitaphone is capable of at Le Mans. Whats Bertolini, Van De Poele and or Ramos and Negrao doing for Le Mans?

Very frustrating............

Assuming we're not jumping the gun here, hugely disappointing on a number of levels (with due respect to Leventis/Hardman).

Yeah , fair enough James . But it makes you wonder what all that hype was about with respect to the Lola/Maseratti ..... if their GT1 effort "will" turn out as said above ?

It occurs to me that Embassy Racing still have their Judd powered Radical gathering dust in a corner somewhere. Wouldn't it make sense for them to 'make enquiries' and if successful ask the ACO for dispensation to make a chassis change? Just a thought.........

Time is running short for that kind of jump, btw if I'd be the RB fellows I'd like to get more out of the car I bought... and there must be a powerful reason why from all the options they went for the Italian-made Lucchini... Apart from my arguable all-pragmatic typical thinking your point is right on!

They were testing the yellow synergy car at Snetterton a few weeks ago with Amanda Stretton driving.

Some pictures of the test were post on the Atlas fourm a while back.

Maybe not the grid - but definitely the pit road - i'd stake good money on Hugh "saving a lap of fuel" again this year!!!

Just mentioned on RLM Spa coverage , that one of the RS Spyder mods for Le Mans , might be faired in rear wheels , kinda like the spats the Jags & Toyotas ran in Group C I expect .

That might not look so cool on a Spyder !?!?!?

Faired in wheels are not legal, section 3.4.1 of the rules.

at, but the sort of 'inserts' seen in F1 are legal aren't they?

And yes, the RS Spyder is something special and worthy of being a Porsche!

Come Le Mans Porsche will find a loophole somewhere and modify the RS Spyder into an overall contender. Either way, this will be one of the classic Le Mans races.

I think its already a LMP2 contender .

Wheel covers , what about like the Porsche 956/962 used ..... cooling disc's they called them . They would add some streamlining . The last time ive seen those used were on a Mercedez Benz CLK/LM .
