Pilgrimage should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Just got my breakdown cover extended (hopefully won't need it though!) so we must be getting close now.
Have a great time to all going down.
Be sure to wave at the Blue Classic Subaru flying the flag from Calais to La Sarthe on Friday!
We are on the 8:15am Sea France crossing Friday morning.

Its hilarious! They are interviewing drivers with a female interpreter replying. AFAIK there is only one female driver entered.

From lemans.org:

Water restrictions apply
In order to preserve the water reserves and apply the water restrictions currently in force, the use of temporary swimming pools will be forbidden during the week of the ’24 Heures du Mans’ on all of the sites and camping areas dedicated to the event. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
So you forget about taking your swimming pools !!!

From what I have just seen else where, from someone who has spoken to someone who is already out there, they have been told to put it away or be removed.....

hmmm... can't see them removing half the people once they've set up camp! Could be mildly amusing How do they know that we've not filled it with 1.5ltr bottles of Volvic that we bought with us?

They are enforcing it with the threat of 1000 euro fines from what I have heard.

They also barred people from the camp sites until this morning, one group who did find a way in where given 2 hours to get out again.

Could be a fun year

Filling the pool with water, I assume. Easy enough to rustle up a local byelaw to make it an offence....

I somehow think standing ignoring a large pool of water, pretending its nothjing to do with you, even though its within your roped off camping area isn't going to endear you to the gendarmes........

I've never been able to do it without sleeping a bit, sometimes a couple of hours (and then, I hear Ayse : SACRILEGE !)
last of my strategy (!) : sleeping in the pits grandstand : the sound wakes me up after no long

Definitely me! But being used to be up and running 24/7, I don't think it's gonna be an effort, more like a...pleasure.

Personally I will be up for the full 24 hours, in the past there wasnt much point for me as there wasnt anything in the way of TV coverage throughout the night, this year however Motors TV are showing the race live and as has been said Motors TV will have additonal cameras in the pits of the teams as well as out on the track. There should be plenty to keep a eye on even during the night.
