Indeed it could be Jon. But it could be that Eric really is confused. The Brighton rock may have caused some permanent damage?

Yup, shame about the Alfa, was it leading? I was bewildered and I was only watching.

Thanks for some fun races, it's quite nice to marshal something where I have a good excuse for having no idea where the leader is.

Though after trying to follow the Lotus race, can I suggest increasing the bewilderment next year by adding in pit stops

Very blustery. Wasn't much fun carrying a windsock about!

Fortunately I caught the Alfa's gymnastics

Couldn't help noticing a Fiesta overtaking under waved yellows when the marshal was attending to the Alfa

I believe they are getting a Giant Tortiose to do the arithmetic. Results should be out in Summer 2010.....

On a similar subject.... Could things not be improved for 2010 by having the theme tune to OFITG played during the pace-lap, a-la BTCC meetings with their chav dance/"pop" tracks??!! (or maybe that should read "a-la Mouldy Old Dough at Short Oval meets").

Overall, a very good day, apart from the rather windy conditions! A nice (ignoring aspects of the weather!) way to end a great year.

First a massive thanks to the marshals and all those outdoors for being there in that awful weather, so that we could race. You are heroes indeed.

The first race showed how well Colin Ayres handicapped the race with the result being in doubt until the last corner.
The second race was hel in the most dreadful conditions I can remember. So much water in my car that it started to boil from the exhaust heat. Bit like sitting in a kettle.
Better in the third race but a shame that the offs in the last two races caused the safety car periods as it buggered the handicap. However, it did mean that we had podium places filled by people who don't generally get that opportunity, which is really the intent of the Meldrew.

The overall Victor Victor result had to be determined on a different basis as the difference between best and averahge lap time varied by 18-26 seconds due to the safety car intervention.

So bonus points were taken into account with finishing position and resulted in
Brian Jordan (Black BMW M6) being the 2009 Victor.

Thanks again to you all. See you next year.

Excellent idea Elio. I shall pursue it with the Good Doctor. I assume that there will not be howls of protest from the local residents complaining about noise pollution?

Was leading for a bit yeah, but lost the lead at druids to one of the Protons about midway through... then came the 'incident'. He was still picking bits of gravel out of his bum this morning

Damage doesn't look too bad... coupla panels and a new screen and it'll be ok only bugger is the gravel threw a couple of belts off the engine so its got to come out.. mind you, its so full of gravel its probably for the best.

We still had a fun day out though, cheers John!

Congratulations to Victor Jordan!
