As expected the Pescarolo is the quickest during the first test session. Gounon keeps impressing in the Courage LC70.

On the whole these are enormously encouraging qualifying results from a prototype perspective. Bodes well for a decent race tomorrow and shows how much some of the cars have come on over the year. Real highlight for me is the positive performance of the Radicals, which hopefully will go some way towards restoring some of Martin Short's faith in the car.
GT1 does look a bit like a Saleen benefit at the moment though... |

The Courage LC70 need some extra holes in the front body work to get better cooling of the front brakes.

Which is no bad thing seeing as it's the most cost effective option for prospective GT1 teams. |

Just read on DSC that the Rollcentre Radical will start from the back of the grid. One of the restrictors on the engine was 1mm too large. It had apparently been used at a test session earlier in the season.

Apologies if this has been mentioned already but it would appear that we'll be able to receive 'Live Video' of the race today. The link is at the bottom of the main Nurbrurgring menu on the LMS website.
