Haven't bits of it been live before? I have vague recollections of the odd bit of timetable related panic from last year.

It was indeed! Hence my 'More chaos?'...

Last year we had a full batch in Top Turnaround and because of TV scheduling they had to send up yet more cars before we could return the batch. We had support vehicles and competing cars parked everywhere (including in between the flag poles!!!!).

Had a very busy 4 days on Startline, highlight of the weekend was Terry Grant getting stuck on the ramp whilst trying to put his car on 2 wheels, a big thank you to all who helped with the removal of this car from the ramp. It took just under 2 minutes to clear this incident.

what is the rally stage like to marshal honestly, it may look tame but do the cars get thrashed or is it like the half arsed attempts like on the hillclimb. i found the hillclimb one of my most boring marshalling weekends if you were wondering, the MM was nothing like what i expected it to be, i thought itd be concept cars slowly parading up the hill showing us the latest in car designs, it was just an overblown customer test day in cars released up to 4 or more years ago... i do hillclimbs but the post i was on wasnt good i didnt realise none of us wouldnt get switched around, i liked the event itself managed to get round pretty much every stall car and activity in my spare time! for my first and only visit, missed a few stalls and a sizeable chunk of cars maybe 30 of the cars i never saw up close, but im never putting myself forward for the hillclimb ever ever ever ever again! only the rally stage maybe next year. only thing is a is a 3/4 day rally event worth a 580 mile return trip for something i could see very close to home minus a few group b cars

Haha, we saw that on the screens, lots of fun

Thanks to the post 3 gang, lots of entertaining banter. Quiet weekend (a few cars to push, and the odd doughnut delivered by the likes of Ken Block and Lewis Hamilton), but loving 3 days out in the sun

A quick thanks to all the marshals (spectator marshals included) working Crossing 10. Fantastic weekend (hot, dusty and a wonderful view of Portsmouth and Bognor - yes the view was that good)

not much to do apart from park a view cars that Post 9 wanted out of the way, and a shame that I picked the wrong session to marshal under the trees so I missed the Vulcan...

All I can say is that NewYankee01 spent the last four days somewhere very different to the four days I have spent at Goodwood. I had an amazing time; I had a great post for the Moving Motor Show on the return road with plenty to deal with, not only the cars taking part in the MMS, but also public cars, F1, etc team vehicles, very long lorries that kept grounding, the 3 wheel Morgan, Lord March and many family members - all crossing the return road, plus towards the end of the day, cars trying to go RD up the Return!

The only problem is, the four days went too quickly, even though I was getting to the Festival just after 6am each morning, I still never managed to see it all.

I miss the Bacon Rolls too..!!

This was my second year and it was even better than last year. Great team of guys on crossing 5. We had a great time and a good laugh. The cars, drivers and air displays were fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend and looking forward to next year already.

Good working with you on crossing 5 Andy, especially when we had a flag to wave.

My second too!
Many thanks to the all the old regulars at Post 5 who looked after me (the newbie) very well.
Although most of the cars seemed less interesting this year, (perhaps there were less cars or perhaps because I had seen most of them last year at my first FoS) there was a few we collected that made the weekend very exhilarating.
Glad to hear the Alpina passenger was ok.

FOS

I know this is late but hey I'm from Norfolk so our internet comes on the back of a tractor, nothing to do with being on hols since the monday after goodwood.

Good to meet you Steve and I must say that is one serious camper you've got there. I wonder if the keys to the disabled on site toilet ever arrived ? [you had to be there to know]

Does anyone know where the pictures are? I would like to see Cathedrals Paddocks Saturday Sillyness
