Nope, I'll try to be more clear.
In the case at Indy, TG is a promoter in that town with a racing facility. He corresponds to Michaelian/LBGPA at Long Beach, who has five years left on a contract with the city to put on a race. Bill/Brian France doesn't go to the Indianapolis City Council to negotiate the Brickyard 400 or to try to pressure TG to have it. If he did, when all is said and done, Michaelian and the Long Beach City Council hafta live with each other 365 days a year. They'll wind up together on what they do for or against EITHER Kalkhoven or TG. If I'm Michaelian and someone's screwing around trying to leverage me with my city council, an entity I have a contract with that doesn't really have a say in the matter of who runs there, it just ****es me off. |
