Of course... but the TKR comparison, with the exact same gear, is more than interesting....

Usual standard of driving I see. Usual procession as well. Except for R Kelly's little spin. Well done by Whincup as well. He is a class act. Time for Lowndes to pull his finger out .Whincup is making he look decidedly average.

CL went a little crazy there for half a lap after GT pulled out in front of him from the pit stop. Lucky we didn't end up with one or two cars in the fence. Apart of that little dice and Rick's amazing save, there wasn't much to see as usual. The front 2 pulling away seems to be a common theme lately.

Great result for the blue side, but how bloody boring.

Nice of the commentators not noticing the fact that Tander made up about 6 spots in the first half lap.

GTR..........In fairness to Scooter..........The cars are the same in principle only........PCR engines are the very latest specification.......TKR's are well........What they deserve.......need I say more.

TKR's car turned up at Sandown still only partially rebuilt, from the Hamilton accident......They have little or no spare parts........and understandably nobody will sell them spares with out getting the money up front.

Even so Kayne managed to bring it home in one piece........And was certainly not the slowest car out there by any means.

I get the feeling Lowndes was deliberately belting into Tander in an attempt to dislodge the grill insert that was sticking up, in order to avoid a mechanical black flag. If so, perhaps a little naughty, but also ingenious!

And that was one hell of a save from R Kelly. Kudos.

To be fair to Lowndes he did post fastest lap of the race and made up a number places! I think he did pull his finger out.

How long can the car's finishing rate survive the preparation standard? At some point the oily bits will wear out... hopefully get replaced before they break and not after

Yes V8's, I thought he drove a good race considering what he had to work with. Kept his nose clean and as you rightly point out was not the slowest which again is not bad considering

bluesport - I had a little chuckle on that one to

Fair enough, but how long can they keep going on... spoted TKR doin the rr wheel change... blue vs black easy to see. No one is having a go at Kayne it's more about the TKR thing, which you would agree is very complicated thing as I have found out.

Good non call from race control regarding Lowndes forcing the pass and Tander blatantly blocking on cold tyres.

Good save by Kelly after some average driving to lose it in the first place.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
i dont think they ever waved flags when it was for position.

It was all will's fault. if he hadnt have had car problems Craig wouldnt have smacked into the back of him and GT would never have got in front.

I must say (possibly not the first time) theer is something quite horrible about watching car coming out of the pits drive accross the track in front of a car doing 260km/h

Getting very dark, about to rain here. Radar shows bands of heavy showers all day.
Could be fun.
