had a wee play on the web there to see how much it would be from the thursday to tuesday and from thrifty for a transit 17 seater you are looking at about £500 plus diesel so say £200 for that divided by say 15 you are looking at about £50 each

12 rescue crew + his carers and personal nurse. We also are trying to train him that when you jump off a wall to let go!

You ought to do what I did many years ago - REFUSE any post that requires jumping, climbing (especially ladders in my case) just to get there or onto the track. This way, old Geronimo remains untroubled

just an idea following on from the burger van, if we could get some voluenteers even if just for an hour between track time, we could sort a list of marshalls who all throw say £2 or £3 in a kitty. we could then have a tent say just on the infeild at copse with some gas cookers doing hot water, tea coffee and things like bacon butties all through the weekend. with enough time in advance this could easily be sorted out between us all.

Alan - This sounds great and would (possibly) avoid my losing posts in the night!

My thoughts:

1) Base it in a pit garage with electric hook up.
2) Barbecue plus hot plate for bacon and sausages.
3) Microwave for pies (otherwise we'd have to change our monicas)
4) Happy to don a chef's pinny.

Must point out that my method of cooking means that I know it's done when the smoke alarm goes off

But still happy to volunteer - just don't tell 'Elf and Safety or whoever. Probably better to take this off-line..............

You haven't seen my bacon then.

Seriously though, great ideas are popping up on here. Turning into more of a Marshal festival than a 100% race meet.

Ok folks looks like we have a lot less time to prepare for this event than we thought! JT has posted the dates for 2009 on the EERC website
http://www.britcar24hr.co.uk/cms/news.php?item.712.1
Dates are the 17,18 and 19 APRIL 2009!!!!

Gonna be colder and probably wetter (again!)

Still gonna do it though!

Some one on another petrol related forum said JT had been stitched up on the date! Still there you go, kinda works for me though as I'm already on holiday that week due to it being the week after easter and that usually means the F3/BGT opener at Oulton Park!
