Claire, one thing that put me/our team off this year was the refuelling aspect. However, looking at the entry, there were similar cars to ours racing e.g. mid 80's saloon with normal road fuel tanks.

How did the teams go about the refuelling - for instance (assuming the normal H&S stuff about proper clothing etc) did some teams refuel by just pouring fuel into a funnel? Assume they didn't invest in dry break systems etc. Can't get my head round this, any advice gratefully received.

Refuelling bottles were used, not jerry cans and funnels. Should all be in the regs which are on the 360 bottles.

Too many people refuelling wearing t-shirts - they got told off.

I may be wrong but I think it was with these (or similar):

Happy to be corrected, though.

There are issues with these bottles and non vertical fuel filler necks, as the fuel comes out the side, hot the bottom of the pipe. Try and borrow one to check it will work in your car before investing in one.

The 2011 date has been announced - 30 April 2011 at Snetterton.

New regs will be issued shortly which will take into account the lessons identified so far & the comments of many people in and around the 10 Tenths forums.

Start your planning now.

why dont they consider modern cars

say up to 2 litre with no turbos ect

bit like the classic sports car cub tin tops

why allways seam to have big grids

mix them with the old stuff,

lap times would be simular to some of the big powered old stuff,

lets full this great value race up for 2011

Look forward to seeing you there

Ok just a quick update.

We HOPE (i have to say hope!) to have the regs out by the end of this week. We want to only publish them once, we dont want to change them once we have, so we are debating and tweaking and basically fine tuning them so that they last just as much as say a montego bought for a couple of hundred quid that then wins best in class at a six hour endurance race (we may even adopt that car as our "baby") anyway, please have patience with us....think of us like Heinz....the best things come to those that wait!.

Didn't know about this event until I saw the Montego for sale on Fleabay.........looks very interesting for those with a passion for endurance racing.

Have a word with the 2CV boys - I'm sure they'd get a few cars out to practice for their 24 hour event later in the year.

In the meantime, I'd better see how the BMW 318 is coming along for 2011.

Have posted this on another thread but just to confirm, the Regs are now published on our website. basically, the age limit is up to 31st December 1989, four age classes Pre 59, 60-69,70-79 and 80 to 89.

No upper cc limit now and registration should open in the next few days

http://www.360motor-racing-club.com/...GULATIONS.html

for the regs

Thanks
Claire
