Mac K should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The start time is 4:30 PM local time correct? Which I believe is about 12:30 AM Eastern time..?

The time difference between EST and Spa is 6 hrs. Thus 4.30 pm local is 10.30 am EST.

Both the SMP Ferraris have been penalized for Superpole infractions, failure to leave the pitlane at the appropriate time. What exactly they did seems unclear - as final car in the session it makes sense for Pier Guidi to have made the super-slow outlap he allegedly did to let traffic clear, but what would Aleshin have gained from that in the middle of the session?

Drivers can only drive for 14 Hours in total. And 3hrs 15 mins in one contimous stint.

And Andrew Howard has got to drive a minimum of six hours over the 24 hour race distance and for a minimum of one hour in each six hour period.

According to EI the #80 emil frey pro Aston martin will not start because of a crash at turn 5 (radillon) during qualifying

This is one of my favorite races of the year. All GT cars no ugly open topped protos to get in the way of my screen. My one wish is that GTE cars would be allowed to race too.

Overall pretty smart driving to start off, nobody is trying to win in the first 10 minutes. It will take a long time to see who the real contenders are I think.
