I'm pretty sure there were some timing glitches...
http://www.imsaracing.net/2008/event...it/ALMS_P1.pdf The Diff column is quite screwed up, it would appear that the AGR car has fast lap and the Dyson car was a glitch. Everyone's diff starting with the Audi is offset from the AGR acura. Actually, the whole PDF just seems full of timing oddities... GT2 .21 seconds behind GT1? A Ford GT in 5th? |

Oh, then that makes a lot more sense =)
However, still doesn't explain the diff column (though I've noticed in the past it's been wonky) |

I dont like the track layout, why dont they use the extended layout from the past? it would promote more passing imo

What a bummer, it's been raining just over Belle Isle with not much rain in the surrounding area, but it appears from the weather map that most of it has moved on now so maybe the cars will be going back on the track and laying down some good times.

Looks like cars are leaving the pits and getting out on the track. Hopefully, it will remain dry for the remainder of this practice session and throughout qualifying even though it looks like the session only has a few minutes left.

Dyson-fastest Porsche, the Captain won't be happy about that.
Well done to Brabs for putting the Acura on pole!! |

The video of the Acura LMP1 announcement is live on our site--having issues with the direct link, so you'll have to choose it manually from the video player on the ALMS/LM home page.
