Many teams do not have a current spec spare car in their shed, let alone at the track on raceday.

What is more likely is that the senior driving pairing would commandeer the team second car (where applicable) and some of the drivers would take one for the team and step out for the weekend....

Well, if it gets wrecked, that's racing. It happens sometimes.

L & H

Motoring past Hagemeyer HQ last Friday in downtown Heidelberg, it was good to see a FPR show car up on the kerb doing a bit of advertising.
Havent seen a lot of advertising to promo the event.

Also had the GRM show car and a Variety bash car too.

Has been quite a few ads on TV for it.

With the parity cloud hanging overhead now, I wonder if this is the event no one wants to win? In fear of being slowed or not getting the opposition slowed prior to Bathurst.
Could we see a victory for one of the minnows?

I wasn't planning on going to PI, but now thanks to an oil company I'm going as their guest

Hopefully if Holden win the event the Parity adjustment train will be derailed.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
well they were 1st 2nd and equal 4th (5th on the highest finisher in last race system) last year. of course that was last year when there wasnt a parity issue with the same cars and when there lead drivers where in the same cars they had been in for years ie they had consistency. mmm it makes you wonder

I'll be available for arguments (with Holden boys) or drinks with the Ford boys (actually, I'll drink with anyone) at the 200m mark of the main straight.

Now, the serious business ...

Traditionally a Holden track, we are praying for rain to even up the score. Also, the pairings are in favour of the Blue Ovals so lets hope for a good one. The Saturday races for grid spots favours Tander though so we need Skaifey to run right up to his current form Sunday (either slow or into something).

Is it true that no cars are allowed into the course this year????

Sheesh, how can a man smuggle grog in anymore????????????????

Well just looking at the weather forecast for Sunday and there's rain developing with a 70% chance of 10-20mm!!! Im actually hoping for a wet or partially wet race as that will bring in so many other dark horses would make it interesting!!!!

Nice to any PR about the series lately........ In the lead up to the enduros there hasn't been much in the mainstream media at all.

it's fast becoming they same with footy if it's not negative it isn't worth publishing andthere hasn't been much negative about V8's lately so they don't get a word in, Hombush was keeping V8's in the sydney papers for a little while now thats gone silent again nothing gets published. we have the biggest motor race in the country comming up that even gets randoms watching a little of it, every car nut in Aus stops for the start atleast, it's famous worldwide lets hope it gets some coverage that dosn't involve the grog ban or ****heads doing silly stuff lets hope they concentrate on the racing.
