Could it be a Subaru Legacy? They are a part of GM!

No longer GM involvement.

Sweet It looks a bit noseheavy with those small wheels, but I really like the overall setup they've got. Lets hope they're a bit more succesfull than with the Astra.

Agreed with that, hopefully it will go well in the STCC and we could see some over in the BTCC.

It is rather long nosed however I think that may be an advantage in Touring Car racing, to punt your rivals off.

This Saab kind of proves that large modern saloons can be made into S2000 touring cars, well, we'll have to see how it goes first...

Happy to see such a pretty car on the tracks, but still a bit sad that it's just another GM brand instead of eg a complete new Asian manufacturer.

> The engine of the car is Saab's four cylinder, two liter engine and will be run on bio-ethanol.

But that is a low pressure turbo engine, no? Is that one of the reasons why they had to skip 2008, wait for turbo to be allowed on spark combustion engines?

And if SAAB is running with it, surely the Chevies will pop the same powerplant into their cars as well?

And if Audi pull themselves together and codevelop an S2000 A4, STCC next year could be a real hit especially as it seems DTC morphing into a non S2000 championship.

Could indeed be very interesting next year, Edman said earlier that Danish teams are looking at STCC for 09 now when pitstops are no longer in use, and if only one or two teams decides to go over it will still boost the STCC grid to very healthy numbers.
So any words on what KMS will do next year, if Ekström gets the Audi contract? Surely they cant run 5 year old A4's for one more year.

Will there even be an Audi contract again? Wasn't Audi still unsure if they were going to develop a S2000 car again?

BTW, didn't Nordic Uhr run a ST Saab 9-3 in STCC for a short while? I'm not completely shure if it was ever run.

In case they did run it, Saab has indeed been represented in STCC.
