Antrodemus should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2010 V8SCFC: Entries & Driver Changes

Good lord! It is that time already?!

The 2010 V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship launches into action in the sunny sands of the Middle East in just under a months time in what is expected to be an exciting clash of new talent against wily championship veterans in the race for the Pete55 Memorial Trophy.

V8 Supremo Antrodemus was bouncing with enthusiasm for the category in 2010, and is confident of a great year. “Obviously we get away to a wonderful start with the tremendous double-header in the Middle East, and 2010 will present a whole heap of new challenges,” he said. “I’m sure it will be an incredibly exciting year; lots of changes in team land and lots of driver changes so I look forward to it all rolling out again late next February.”

Now entering its eighth year on Network Ten-Tenths, this series can always guarantee close racing, dodgy officiating, and heated rivalries. The 2010 V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship Series is upon us. Gentlemen (and Gentlewomen),
Start Your Engines!

1. Drivers

You can hire up to 4 drivers to drive your cars, provided that their combined salary comes in below the $2,000,000 Salary Cap.

$1,000,000
Michael Caruso
Lee Holdsworth
Russell Ingall
Jason Richards
Shane van Gisbergen

$800,000
Jason Bright
Fabian Coulthard
Alex Davison
Todd Kelly
Steven Richards

$600,000
Paul Dumbrell
Greg Murphy
Tim Slade
Andrew Thompson

$400,000
Jason Bargwanna
Tony d’Alberto
Paul Morris
Karl Reindler
Jonathan Webb

$200,000
Dean Fiore

Other Drivers
If anyone else not listed above drives in one of the non-enduro rounds, they will be valued at $200,000.

Endurance Drivers
Specialist enduro drivers will be available for Phillip Island and Bathurst. More info below.

2. Hiring & Firing

As Team Owner/Manager, you are permitted to sack any or all of your drivers in the lead-up to a round, and replace them - so long as you don’t blow the salary cap or 4-driver limit.

To sack/hire someone, post in the Driver Changes thread (ie. here) expressing your disappointment in your ex-employee(s), and your hopes for your new driver(s). You will only be charged a driver change if your team is different at the next round, so there is scope to change your mind if need be. The deadline for making changes is the start of first practise.
However, you can only do this twice during the season.

Endurance Drivers
If you wish, you may use one of your two allocated driver changes to hire some of the Sunday drivers that appear for Phillip Island and Bathurst. Your driver lineup, including enduro specialists, must still fit inside the $2M, 4-driver limits. You will automatically revert to your normal driver lineup after Bathurst, should you choose this option. Note that you do not have to pair up your drivers.

The price list for enduro drivers will be released once we know who they are (sometime in August). As an added incentive, the once-a-year brigade also come with generously discounted price tags

So to sum things up:
- You can change your driver lineup twice during the regular single-driver rounds;
or
- You can change your driver lineup once during the regular single-driver rounds and also employ enduro drivers for Phillip Island and/or Bathurst;
or
- You can exercise your right not to use either driver change if you don't want to.

3. Points:

Points are the same as the real series. Whatever a driver scores at each round in real life is what that driver will receive here, including penalties. Your worst round will not be dropped. You will not receive $200 for passing 'Go'.
If you notice that your team hasn't scored as many points as you think they should have (or more than they should have ), there are a couple of likely reasons for this:
1) My maths stinks;
2) I missed your driver change;
3) I've only just realised one of your drivers got penalised somewhere along the line.
Either way, let me know and I'll fix your score so its 100% correct.

4. Other Things You Should Know As Team Owner:

- One team per person, per year.
- You don’t have to use all $2 million, but DO NOT GO OVER BUDGET!!! You will be suitably punished (ie. disqualified from the round) if I discover any creative bookkeeping.
- A driver can be chosen by more than one team - these guys are consummate professionals and are able to drive 37 cars simultaneously.
- Points are the same as the real series. If things don't seem to add up, feel free to point out my mathematical ineptitude.
- Round results and championship standings will be posted here following the conclusion of each round.
- After the results have been posted, you can report on your team’s performance (or lack thereof). Show us how good you are at distributing propaganda.

5. Team Announcements:

Once you’ve picked your driving line-up, give your team a name, announce some sponsors, racing numbers, liveries, grid girls/guys, mascots, overseas technical partners and any other stuff you can think of, and of course your manufacturer of choice, then post here giving a detailed description of the copious quantities of hide your team will kick in the forthcoming season.

To make it easy for me, could you please condense the propaganda into this sort of form following your press release:

Quote:
NAME: Turncoat Racing
SPONSORS: MI5
DRIVERS:
#10 Fabian Coulthard
#14 Jason Bright
#88 Jamie Whincup
#888 Craig Lowndes
MANUFACTURER: Holden

Entries are open as of now, so start issuing those press releases!
Your team can be altered without penalty until first practise at Yas Marina (February 18).
Comments/suggestions/queries are more than welcome, either here or via PM.

May the Fords be with you (or against you as the case may be),
