eh WHAT THE @%$#^%&&!!$#@!!!!!! your helmet isnt all white---you're not the frickin Stig!
;=) read your report, fun reading. thats the great thing about going on track, its THE perfect, most safe place to gradually, bit by bit, increase corner speed and get a feel for how the chassis and tires give feedback with each slight increase, on the same corner lap after lap. The bit of racing I did was very very amateur, and I was okay, a good late braker, but I know I am a better and safer driver for having the track experience. It really is great to be able to gradually increase corner speeds in a controlled setting, as well as later braking, so that if you are being consistent in gradually increasing stuff, when things start to happen (tires sliding, beginning of a tank slapper etc) these things come gradually, which is great for developing a better "feel" for a given behaviour and when it will happen. Makes you a safer driver on the road, and certainly made me realize it was dumb to overdo stuff on the road with all the inherent dangers. old guy lecture over resume your safe trackdays. |
