Fwd v Rwd starts - it used to happen all the time to Tony Bardy when he was racing the Astra in the 90's, he was often on pole only to be beaten away by a Renault or Ford. Always led to some cracking racing though |

On the Grant point Ebby, I assume you are a Rallycross / Supercar driver who is able to show everyone the correct lines though Chessons? Being crazy sideways isn't always the fastest way - Liam in the C4 is a prime examle compared to how he was in the Fiesta. |

Steve Hill always takes a wide line through Chessons too - and he's not slow by any means.....

[QUOTE=tbtstt;2753306]a cheese burger from the burger van by the grandstand was £4.50 and a portion of chips was £2.50. QUOTE]
Sounds about right. Bacon roll £4 and a double burger £6.50 when we were there in April. I didn't look this time. The joker lap was annoying yet again. Whereas the whole race is generally exciting without it, it's often the case that only the last corner of the last lap creates any excitement with it. i.e. when someone dives in on the last lap and comes out close to the next car. It was like watching a time trial or something in alot of races. Car - 3 second gap - car - 3 second gap - car - 3 second gap...... you get the drift. I can see the arguement about damage to cars being valid and, yes, they are setting times (it's qualifying!!) but scrap it in the finals at least!! That's a race, not a time setting excercise!! Absolute rubbish 4 quid is not at all right, its a total rip off.
I am at F1 stock car world final today with a crowd of 8000 and they are charging 2.80 One more reason why I wont be back quickly, and having to go for a pee in a bog swimming in male urine! Nice touch that! Good Lord |

£4 is hardly a reason not to watch motor racing. Take your own and have a bbq! Anyway, this isnt "rallycross come dine with me", it was a race meeting, and it was a pretty good one, apart from the attrition rate of the supercars, which was a shame. |

Apologies for the double post, but I've just uploaded some pictures from Lydden:

Lol the Lydden love club back again!
Bless you the three of you. If you want people to be all loved up and never say anything critical then talk to each other. I have been going to rallycros meetings for nearly 25 years both here and abroad so feel more than qualified to comment. You don't like it, don't reply. It's never going to stop me making comment. I was at an event at the weekend that had 10,00 spectators for real not the imaginary 10 at Lydden events. Beer was cheap, food was cheap too. There were issues similar, toilets were rubbish, PA was bad. Parking was tricky. But they weren't expecting a crowd that big. Oh and why would I cook my own food when someone can cook if for me? Do I sound that cheap!! |

Hmm, not this weekend I'm afraid, got some serious drinking and partying to do. Flippin' good job you guys have done to get that back out again though, it looked in a very sorry state! Have fun with a mallet by any chance?

I have watched the sport for 20 years but not been to Blyton. Did I add my two cents' worth to the comments on the state of that circuit? No. That would be folly. Anyway, onwards and upwards, look forward to the Blyton entry list. Must be out soon. |

Why do people moan about the price for food at events. If you dont wanna pay that price, and lets face it you know its not going to be cheap. Then there is a simple answer.................Take your own food, its not hard to do is it!
