Formula Superfund doesn't exist - it was scrapped due to a lack of interest.

Renault raceweekends feature Renault World Series, Renault Megane Trophy and Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup.

Anyway, this is getting way off topic of F1.


Here's a suggestion of a "Future Change" - watch and enjoy racing for what it is, instead of spending all your time coming up with fantasies about how it could be different

no mini race. old qually.

and one more thing-if a driver doesnt finish the race, he isnt classified. none of this where it is 1 lap to go and he is running 2nd and retires, yet he still gets classified 6th as he is a lap ahead of 7th. nope. if your car isnt good enough to finish, be it 1 lap or 71 laps, the end result is the same-DNF. guys with reliable cars should be rewarded. (see Hakkinen Spain 2001)

That makes no sense - if you retire on lap 71, you've completed 70 laps quicker than a car that takes the flag on lap 70.

Your system would mean a car is "magicked" out of the results...

GP2:Suport series to all round of F1 championship
This would force the organisers to drop *all* other support races during the F1 weekend.

Furthermore, costs for GP2 would increase by *a lot*, course your scheme would force them to travel all over the world.


Also, moving saturday qualifying from 13:00 to 15:00 mid-season would not be a smart thing to do.
Most tv-stations will already have other programmes at that (probably more expensive) time.
And they would suddenly have to fill (or sell) the time-slot around 12:45-14:00.
And they would have to re-negotiate the contracts with their advertisers.
etc.

Practice-Each practice session runs for 1 hour. Teams are allowed to have three drivers, only if they limit their testing activities to 30 days.

Qualifying-Drivers can complete an unlimited amount of laps over 1 hour.

Top 10 Shootout-The fastest 10 drivers in Qualifying go on to the Top 10 Shootout were they each complete 1 timed lap.

Point System
1st=10pts
2nd=9pts
3rd=8pts
4th=7pts
5th=6pts
6th=5pts

9th=2pts
10th=1pt

Pole=1pt

This is the points System they will be using in A1GP. I didn't like it when I first saw it but it would keep the Championship very close.

For drivers outside the top 10, the Saturday practices won't be necessary. Or you would give these driver a huge advantage. Driver outside the top 10 would use the saturday practises as a sort of warm-up.
