If you can push the works veloqx audis right to the limit last year (as Zytek did during qualifying) and then completely destroy them at Silverstone indicating that you clearly have teh fastest sportscar around that should be enough to get you into Le Mans. The very fact that the car deos not appear on the entry list (not sure about reserves) is utterly uncomprehensible.
I would love to know the reason why they have not got the entry - ACO? Any ideas the rest of you? |

But IF : The black rocket did a quite anonymous race at LM last year ; you can be the fastest on a lap, or even three hours, or even twelve. The question is : could you be in the top ten at the chequered flag. Again : the ACO problem is to have competitors on the track on sunday morning. Not a super-rocket car on the starting grid - well, both is best of course This is just because you asked why. That said, I didn't say I didn't support Zytek entry Last edited by Fab; 24 Mar 2005 at 16:16. |

Right, i completely understand your position.
However from what i can see it is going to be the same old story Audi Audi Audi - aka boring boring boring. I think that the ACO should take a dive and accept a clear fast car to mix it up with the audis, even if there is the risk that they might not be there at the end, surely its worth giving an entry to a car that is obviously yet to prove itself. How can they hope to promote competitive racing if they dont let the cars that could create that competitive racing compete. This is no way to encourage new competitors to join the series. The Nielsen entry is the factory backed effort.

Yeah,
Still Zytek have entered the entire LMES season this year. I really hope they are not going to pull out of these races becuase of this refusal, that would be a real shame. |

Good discussion but remember the Black Rocket did not so good at LM last year (LMES was another story altogether) while the Audis were running fast and solid also in the first hours. I think with the Zyteks and the DBA we might see some good challenges at least in the first hours. I agree with gwyllion as well, it is not as exciting if all are the same car but privateers racing each other is better than a factory team sweeping the podium (remember 2000,01,02...)

yeah good thinking!
Dont forget that at the point when Zyteks engine finally let go they were in 7th and the Champion Audi was in 15th. What is remarkable though is that the Zytek was pulling away from the Champ at that time. This car has got the pace and legs (dont forget that Zytek had had 2 major blowouts by this time!) |

No Team LNT TVRs (not even on reserve list)
Good to see Rollcentre Nissan on the list. Both Astons of course are there. |

The second Champion Audi is listed as a British (GBR) entry.
The Rollcentre Nissan is listed as a 3600cc engine. The Lister is also not on the list. |
