I've been in the chair at Oulton - was a bit disappointed to find out I was only getting 2 laps - I couldn't have hung on for a third in the end...!

How will anyone? Just the way it is, I'm afraid. Since everyone's heard how good it was they'll all wish they'd turned up?

To me the most recent meeting felt like a car meeting with bikes atttached rather than a bike meeting with cars attached; so car marshals see if you can make it for the next meeting this, 2006, year.

Did it? How odd! To me it felt like a combined car and bike meeting!

Anyway, get your volunteering forms filled in peeps - you can never be too early!

It was the lack of bikes and the mixture super moto with race bikes that made me think that .

I'm doing the Caterham Academy this year and would like to register an interest for the Plum Pudding race but the link posted on the first page of this thread doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know who I could speak to?

It's all a bit of a mystery to me as Caterham do all this stuff for us in the Academy!

Entry forms aren't out quite yet, but I help "co-ordinate" the Caterham entries. Tell all the Academy drivers about it (if you ever get a race... )

The way things are going the Plum Pudding might turn out to be our first!

It has got some coverage on the Academy forum and I'll post up details when I get them. I'm sure there will be a few Academy drivers keen to get their first taste of competition outside of our series and as we are not allowed to do this until our season is over, this race could be a popular choice.

Entry forms are out for the Plum pudding now - they're on-line at the Graduates site at http://www.graduates.org.uk/2006/docs/Plum_06_Regs.pdf

How come they are allowed to have more starters than the MSA now licence the track for?

I think they'll find if they have just one single-seater over 2000cc, they can have a grid of 20 - or 24 if all are below 2000cc.

I may be wrong but I think the sports/saloons limit is now 22 - or it might be 26? Don't think its the 28 in the regs though...

The Sports/Saloon limit went up at Mallory - in common with (I think) every other circuit. It can now start 32.

I believe you are correct on the single seaters, though.

I suspect that they just forget to update last year's regs. Although the MSA have approved them, and they obviously haven't spotted it.

Blue book actually says 24 sports/saloons.

Seems the MSA lowered the max numbers at more than one track last winter, no idea why.

That's "sports racing cars", e.g. LM prototypes and the like. "Other classes" (which includes Caterhams) is 30 cars.
