It also doesn't help that DT&R are at Combe

No that is true Rod and appologises if I go to this one as first choice instead of Combe. Its just I have never raced at the Rock and doubt I will get another opportunity as I ain't getting no younger. I will still be out at the Brands rounds with you guys if I am not at Combe, hopefully I can hang on to that Barr fellows tail a bit more this time as well as we have made a few good advances :-)

If I can get some paint on the MG this weekend I'm up for the little class. I'll keep well out of your way Al - I'm not sure the car's got enough power to climb the banking. Still, cheaper than most testing isn't it? And I've never been there.
Will need to re-assess Monday. Max |

Hi Guys
I'm entered in the 'baby' saloon car class with my Honda CRX and a mate has also entered his MGF in the sports class. Hi to Colin S, I'm just hoping this is going to be drier than the MSV day at Cadwell should then be able to give you some competition! Mark |

Not going to be ready myself but have just printed off the entry form for a mate with a Synchro built '99 Civic, it's having a new ECU etc. down at Torque Developments (awesome Dyno) at present so it'll be a good first run for the car.

I may well be there loitering around the paddock wheeling and dealing, so I'll call in and see you Al.
Pistons should be at the machine shop next week, so I hope to have them for the week after the Rockingham meeting, then it's all systems go to get the block honed out for them, and put back together, with the heads torqued down this time. Doh! In a way, it's better that this has happened than have a big blow up, as could have happened had the heads been torqued down fully before... I keep looking at my ol' Nova, and if I had the time to fix it, and paint over the rust, I could have bolted on some new slicks and come out in the tiddlers.... Rob. |

Get it out Rob I find it quite good having a second up and running car. It gives you another option when things go wrong.

You can email via their site I guess, they responded back to me more or less immediately. They had five as of a week or so ago but assured me it was definitely happening whatever, if nothing else with the garage and two race format it is an idea oppertunity to do some fettling as i need to try a few new things and there is some good stuff on the race card to watch as well. I'm really looking forward to it.

Hi Colin,
I have entered my MG F for this as it is good value for money, not too far away and i do like Rockingham. I met you at Cadwell when i was helping Mark Bailey in his CRX, oh and getting rather wet in the process. No idea whether they are going to put me in the sportscar class or saloon yet. I guess I should be in "sports" sort of but............ then again i am probably more competitive with saloons. Who cares I am out to have a good couple of races rather than trophy collecting. |

Are they separate, I got the impression it was all in together, I was reading a report on the net on a similiar event on the same date 2003 and Dtype38(9?) in a D-Type replica was chasing David Howard in the mighty X12 XJS.

Yeah, we are all in the same race just depends for me whether they put me in with the sportcar classes or saloons. At the end of the day I just want to go out and have fun so I am not too bothered either way.
