They also have a royal connection in the UK. The late Queen gave one to the Princess Royal Anne on one of her birthdays, and Anne has now owned 8 of them. I met her once, back in the '80s, as she was the patron of a charity with which my wife and I were involved, and she came to open a building for the charity and arrived in one of the Scimitars. (They don't always turn up in the back of a Roller or Bentley!) |

It was very tidy - also interestingly had numbers on it (378) and judging by the stickers in the rear side windows is used for classic road events so it's not just an ornament but a properly used car.
You're welcome |

Re the Scimitar GTE I remember desperately trying to persuade my Dad to get one back in the day. He ended up with a 3 litre Capri as he didnt like the idea of a 'plastic' car.
Happy days. |

Same engine. Except the one in my pics is turbo charged. The underbonnet is quite complicated.

There’s a lot more to having an engine, hopefully it can cope with the turbocharger. Car looks great btw

In a similar fashion, this Scrambler has been right here for years. Don't see many CJ8s on the road anymore. That's an early 90s step side extend cab Chevy there too. |

Solid. Good understated color too.
I haven’t seen anything interesting recently Saw an unremarkable SUV with “YA EEJIT” number plate, but didn’t get a photo so didn’t happen. |

Yes the colour suits it perfectly.
Enjoying this thread. That Irish number plate sounds interesting. Shame you didn't get your camera out for that Adam |

Nice Olds
And now for something completely different Pulled up at the market, just got a rebuild done this winter. Apparently it decided to break a piston but driven like an old MG meant it just broke and kept kinda working. He said both sides of the piston skirt cracked below the pin Missed the 2 Chevy and 1 Caddy 50s cars at the WH, across the street from THE Waffle House. And a little Peugeot convertible thing on the drive home, weird little one with the roof rails and fabric top like a Smart. |

The wagon has plenty of uses, especially if you are carrying a lot
