The early car looks like a Mk6 (The Mk 8 had front wing tabs)
The #51 is a B class car (FF engined) and to be honest is a bit of a bitsa... I think the car is a Mk20 but the nose is not .

Happy to be corrected on the Mk.#'s on the Mallocks, although I think I am pretty close.
Just noticed I forgot one.... the #58 (also a B class FF engined car) is I think a Mk 18.

Would loved to have seen the Maserati's in Post 775 in period. I thought the old clubmans car was Ian Bankhursts Mk8.

Strange you say that, rbs, one thing I'm always wondering about those is: how are they to drive? For real.
Bauble, banned or not, your last link is just a killer! What a wonderful living museum on wheels you offer. Nice Xmas gift. Be blessed. Merci beaucoup.

Bob, you’re obviously not banned as you’re still able to post!
Mike, Sorry the word 'banned' was tongue in cheek, and I was not referring to myself.

Thank you to the hierarchy for sorting out the thread, and thank you everyone for your support. I'll get busy making up for lost time.

I’m just re-reading the 1960-69 period ‘Sports Car Racing In Camera’ book, and there’s some good pics of Maserati 151s in there. Remember first time I saw one at Goodwood thinking ‘what the heck is that’. It could only be a Drogo design! One of them got badly bent at the Revival one year, I seem to remember?

When I saw the thread title I just thought you were answering the question: "What's that Salvation Army brass thing that's playing Carols outside Tesco?"

The first Chevron just looks lovely with the orange and blue.

Can remember Sandy also had a Jaguar E Type with the same colours. Not sure what happened to the car as hasn't races for a while but was for me the best looking E Type around at the time.

Lovely pics as usual Bob . Glad to see the thread is back up and running

Ditto from the antipodes too on that. Thanks mods for sorting. My daily playtime looking at car pics from yesteryear is back again.

I love the 'big' (confirms my lack of knowledge as to what) cars in post 795, although I suspect the last one is an Aston.

It is a Lagonda, although some may dispute that (?)
