Just joined up to say we are looking forward to meeting you all. Driving up from Dubai tomorrow afternoon and so will see those of you in the advance party at dinner and the rest of you next week. Don't have a lot of experience but am not a complete novice either, haven't had so much time to marshal now we have our own rally team. We are all really excited, it's going to be a great event! Just had a text from my room mate. He says the accomodation is not ready. Ian Watson & Dennis Carter are currently trying to find the guy who showed them a completely different set of cabins a few weeks ago..........

Very true, although there's a minimum £100 order online. Also, pick the airport pickup option if you don't want your cash languishing in a sorting office while you're sitting on a plane!

Popped into Boots to get some Super Sun block and was told it was buy 1 get 1 free. Don't know if this is nationwide, but worth a try.

Yeh thats right, I got some as well about a month ago & it was buy one get one free. Got factor 50 for out there.

The issue was shortage of 25 new mattresses, 1000 new ones arrived today. The buildings are existing and newly refurbed.
The FM will ensure silk sheets and fluffy slippers are ready for the rest of you next week.

I've had a bad report also, good job they have a week to sort it out.

The advanced party will have some down time this week so I'm sure they won't mind donning their aprons and marigolds and doing a bit of maintenance and cleaning!

Note they are raised off the ground so any spoil from the tunnels will be noticed. There's no veiw of the wire fencing so we can't tell how high it is or how far the guard towers are apart - hopefully there will be a blind spot so don't forget your wire cutters... ( with appologies to The Great Escape

Looks as though there are no computor terminals or WiFi either as i'm sure one of them would have posted something by now.
