Howdy all :-)
leaving central scotland on wednesday.
eurotunnel over on thursday.
In total, our ( me and my side kick) will be covering roughly 1600 miles on our thelma and Louise style road trip
not going to lie, rather excited but nervous about the drive.
Staying at travel destinations Porsche curves,
you will recognise us due to the biggest tent for only two girls !!!!
i thought we had a smaller one .

Great news Helen, it wouldn't be the same without you.

Well, I'm sitting here in my 'second' home in wonderful namby-pamby land on the outskirts of Le Mans having just cranked up the wee-fee. We've just had an extremely good dinner at Del Arte with Walter, Ton and his son (whose name I'm sorry, I didn't catch!) as excellent company. Well as Helen has said finally got it sorted, Helen will be doing her 8th trip in the same way i did my first in 1985, Turns out select motor racing are still doing thee last minute rush down on friday evening and can pick her up at the motorway service station on the M20 at maidstone. So we should see her on saturday morning. Glad i am taking the estate as i now have 3 peoples tents and gear plus all my stuff

36 hours until I fly out! Went to Sepang for WSBK at the weekend as a warmup but can't wait for Le Mans. My group all flew from Dublin on Saturday morning and have been annoying me with pics from their campsite since!

YAY! glad to hear it's all come together for you, helen

my car's making some serious efforts to sabotage our journey at the moment. judging by the noises the haldex box is making, the fat lady is singing for both that and the clutch, which has been slipping for about a year but is now throwing me out of gear in only the most awkward of moments.

neither are getting fixed till we come back cause they're huge jobs. i reckon the clutch will seize on the way home. any bets?

ohhhh yes. you only need to use it once (and have a car not covered by it once too) to realise how completely essential it is to clean up the mess instead of having to do it yourself... a catastrophic turbo failure 30km from calais, and the humiliation of being dragged on and off the ferry home dealt with that one

It's finally here! Le Mans Week. I know some of you are already in Le Mans or will be there soon. I'm in Paris for a few tourist days before I catch up with all of you at the track Saturday morning. I haven't been this excited in a long time. Really looking forward to seeing all of you soon.
