Also if anyone is interested just found the full list of FIA GT3 homologations. All cars are homologated until 2019. If car was built not in country of manufacturer origin country is stated in brackets e.g. Reiter Lamborghinis (D) for Deutchesland. I hope this is interesting....

they did originally say this: https://twitter.com/#!/gtendurance/s...72901969195009
but I suspect that it's Spa only, would be an impressive feat otherwise as I'm pretty sure they only have a couple of cars. Hope a few other GT1 teams decide to run Spa with V4O and WRT. |

Does anybody know who is carrying this championship on TV in the UK and Ireland in 2012? I'm presuming that it will be ESPN (which I don't subscribe to) and hopefully Bloomberg (even if they did forget to televise the season finale from Argentina in 2011).

Thank you for the complete GT3 list. The Chevrolet Camaro must be the 033 car. What did happen with the 011 and 012 cars? why are not listed? |

GT3-011 is the original version of the Ford GT, superceded by -016
GT3-012 is the Jaguar XKR, superceded by -021 Incidentally, GT3-101 is the Mosler MT900, but is only homologated on a national level. |

A very strong lineup for sure, but not a walk. Their team car should be strong competition too, Vanthoor is young but quick and could benefit from Ortelli's tutelage.
Other strong cars to me are Vilander/Salaquarda, the 2 Vita4One lineups (if Wittmann gets the nod), Kox/O'Young, and Soucek/Zuber could be strong if and when the new car emerges. The rest make me shrug a bit. I'll be interested to see who lines up for AllInkl, but they could also be in it. Otherwise it's hard to avoid a feeling that the Pro and top half of Pro-Am lineups in BES put this series in perspective. |

Dusseldorp and Mako are near the top of my list as well... and I could see Albert vT&T surprising a lot of people.

Yeah, I should have put those in as potentials as well. I see them as just a tick down the ladder, but those are probably as legit as the lead AF Corse pair on pace to be fair.

Don't forget also if Bartels matches with the former BES Champion Greg Franchi. Could be interesting.

Does anyone have any idea where to find a whole homologation list for GT1, GT2, and even GT4?

Looks to me that the level of drivers has taken a serious step down from last season. In my opinion, Dusseldorp-Mako is the only line-up with two really quick drivers, so I'd put my money on them. On the other hand, the "weaker" drivers in each car are mostly OK, just not top, so it's not like it would look like a Pro-Am.
Anyone willing to guess how many real pro cars there are? I mean cars where both drivers are paid, not paying to drive. I see only one: Jarvis-Stippler. Gone are the days of superduos like Nissan, Aston and 1 of the Fords had last year. Well, I'm happy that GT1 continues, just that having so many drivers with budget in a World Champ isn't how it should be. |

Just checking through the driver lineups to see what drivers have been placed in teams by manufacturers and can be called therefore 'works' drivers.
So far i can see: Parente - Mclaren Jarvis - Audi Stippler - Audi Vilander - Ferrari Kox - Lamborghini? (dont really know if he is a lambo works driver or just Reiter driver) So some manufacturer backing, BMW and Mercedes might yet recieve some works drivers. Shame Aston Martin and Porsche arent supporting the championship, could of done with some of their drivers. |

All-Inkl's lineup is a strong one too :
Basseng/Winkelhock Jäger/Pastorelli Yes, Wittmann is their reserve driver in DTM. |

Thomas Mutsch, Mike Hezemans would be a great choice for one of SUNRED Ford GT's.

Theres a number of strong lineups in my opinion, I cant see anyone walking with this. Kox and O'Young should be up there as should Mako and Dusseldorp. If Bartels and Franchi are paired together then that'll be another quick car. Good to see Vilander in for AF Corse I just wish he was paired with another factory pilot-Matt Griffin? |

I've never followed Lauda and have no opinion on him but I don't get why Bartels-Franchi is so highly rated here. Bartels is good but not top (Bertolini used to do the heavy lifting when they won races and titles) and Franchi was 1-2 seconds slower than his excellent teammates last year in BES and was nowhere in FIA GT3, so I reckon he'll struggle in GT1. Or hopefully not struggle but I'd definitely not count him as a favorite! I don't want to be negative here. I just divide drivers to top (as works drivers and likes of Westbrook, Mako, Martin, Dumbreck, Luhr etc.) and good (Pastorelli, Basseng, Parisy, Stippler, Bartels etc.). These good guys are well known, have won races, but are not as quick as the top guys. Does this make any sense..? Then there's also another group a step lower like Ide, Demoustier, Franchi & co, for sure OK guys but nothing to do compared to the top guys! |
