Rethink a rules package that caused a diverse grid to "accidentally" become a single make class.

BoP could decrease the performance windows between the platforms but at this stage, teams are so proficient with the Oreca and able to extract every last tenths out of them, it's probably not gonna make much difference. Sean Creech Motorsport in IMSA will find out very quickly their Ligier is not up to par (despite the team's and Barbosa's best efforts).

Better to wait till the next generation cars.

Will be interesting to see if Dallara, Ligier and Multimatic have a serious attempt to sell cars. Or with LMDh projects in mind they are okay with not being in LMP2.

Gaazmaster liveries in recent years have really favored that horizontal color separation across the Oreca's nose. Looks pretty good though, so no complaints here.

Has the ELMS always begun its season with Also Sprach Zarathustra? It sounds somewhat out of place compared to the start of Le Mans.

This new VSC procedure is...not amazing.

The obvious use of this was to create a gap for the marshals to work in safety. However, the marshals released the cars into traffic before the SC anyway, during what was similar to a FCY. Then we went SC and had to do the pass around dance.

We basically added 15 minutes of yellow onto it, presumably to give the marshals space to work, which they didn't use anyway.

Congratulations to Panis, Eurointernational and Iron Dames Gatting did great to stay ahead on older tyres after their +10 sec penalty that forced the team not to change.

Some clever use of a curved straight to keep the Aston Martin behind!

What exactly happened with Chatin's off? I saw the aftermath but I don't think they showed the start of the incident with the LMP3.

I've been impressed with Getting has stepped up as the Gold in the crew this year. That was a great last stint.

All in all, a typically entertaining ELMS race.

Still not sure how Bovy is still a bronze driver though. So much faster than the other bronzes and racing nearly every week.
