Geez, now that's old.
Looks like the mill has run rampant in who is going to drive these cars, as much as whom will be racing them, between now and after '24. |

On the latest S365 podcast John Dagys heard a rumour it was an Indycar team who might be running the 2nd IMSA privateer Porsche.
So I think that Euro-based team info they had was premature/unconfirmed. |

Like Weathertech does to Proton? How much of the 1987-1988 Porsche programme was run by the Foyt team itself? IIRC one of the books I have about the 962 mentioned that car was run by someone else. |

MP's article made it sound like they would be running the car out of the shop with JR as driver and funder of the program. But it feels like a well maybe it could be then and remember why AJ had a 962?

In the S365 Road America post race notes, it was mentioned that Porsche has officially decided who the 2nd customer team will be.

Thanks for the info. I hope it's a team that has a big pedigree and lots of experience. In fact I'm sure it will be

Gonna be a big challenge for Penske and Porsche to get it right. Let's just hope teething problems are kept to a minimum

I'm just glad Porsche are coming back to the top class, they have the Le Mans DNA in them. Although the class has survived without them, they certainly add more being there. Bit like Ferrari in F1

Big customer news as Proton are in line to run in both series - https://www.motorsport.com/wec/news/...omer/10366821/
Possibly no customer cars for Daytona is interesting. |

Good news for Tinckerbell. He is surely a strong contender for a seat.

Yes I think he would be a good choice for them, he has enough experience to help out there

the car seems very reliable and quick as well, as it means an average speed over 200km/h for 36 hours long......chapeau! |

Which is great! Thank you very much.
Merci is French for thank you. (I know you know). I was really just saying thank you. Not everything on the internet is an attack even if it is in French. Merci beaucoup. |

Porsche has all but ruled out a Daytona debut for customer cars. While that sounds negative on first glance, I think the situation has improved from expectations earlier this year. Before they were talking that Sebring might not be possible, but that sounds more like solid chance now.
