Delighted to see Larbre returning to their grass roots car with a little Porsche . They always run a class act .
One of my favourite teams . |

According to John Dagys, Risi will enter a 458 for the ALMS but NOT at Le Mans! Hopefully AF Corse will still enter one.

Maybe it's something to do with AF Corse being the Ferrari ILMC team? I wouldn't be surprised to see Risi team and drivers running one of AF Corse's cars so that they can maximize AF Corse's chances for ILMC championship points.
Seems weird to imagine Risi not being there in some capacity. |

John Dagys feels it is budgetary issues. Plus the parting of ways with Krohn can't of helped.

I couldnt imagine GT without Risi, hopefully Ferrari throw everything behind AF Corse. Just remembered Waltrip will be in one of the AF Corse cars Last edited by rich07; 18 Jan 2011 at 04:48. |

Risi might just be taking the ultra-cautious route in terms of a new Ferrari at Le Mans... after all, when the 430 made its debut, they ran it in the ALMS but not at Le Mans itself.

The statement is only that they will not run a 458 at Le Mans. This doesn't stop them from running a 430 |

it would be disasterus for ferrari if risi skiped le mans this year, every year they ran they were the fastest and most consistant thing out there, and they already have an invitation it would be stupid to trow it away or sell it

Does the ACO pick just the 56 cars to start the race, or does it pick more cars and they qualify or not depending on lap times?

56 cars + 10 reserves and that's it in general. Car from the 56 withdraws, a reserve is called to replace it. This year they have had to call new reserves at late notice due to an unusually large number of withdrawals. No more prequalifying, that was stopped quite some time ago I guess.

Forgive me for asking what will undoubtedly be seen as a very silly question - but who is John Dagys?

With each scrap of news that comes out regarding Highcroft, it looks increasingly as if they will run an ARX-01e P1 at Le Mans this year. This Autosport article certainly appears to confirm that the desire is there to do so. Mr Dayton just needs to find the necessary $$$'s (easier said than done, I know).
Fingers crossed, this would be an exciting addition to the 'petrol' ranks come June. Rebellion Lola Toyota's, Aston Martin's and an ARX-01e (or 2?) is a mouthwatering prospect! |

Entry list will be revealed by the ACO on Wednesday Feb 9th. Live on Radio France within France and streamed live for everyone else on lemans.org.

If we had that it would be amazing. Remains to be seen whether the ACO is willing to use the 'GT1' numbers from last year all in 'GT2' and not for some extra Prototypes.
We'll discover everything in a few days! |
