The entry deadline is now closed from what I understand, so when will IMSA release the entries?
Reports of now Euro GT2 teams coming... But expect a 2nd Jag |

I am not feeling confident about the Signature Plus Aston making the trip. Hopefully I am wrong. They need to post the entry already...haha.

I have heard that hotel rooms have been booked for Team Oreca Matmut and that would mean another Peugeot 908 HDi, making three!

All the Ferrari's really have to do is keep the Porsche behind them which with three strong running cars (#61, #62 and #02) is more than likely but hasn't quite worked out this way. Extreme will be strong here, both drivers are very good around RA. If there's a title to be won at Petit, you will see another Porsche here.... If there's a title to be won, you'll see a 4th Ferrari. |

So Scott Atherton just alluded to 50+ cars at PLM on the SPEED broadcast from RA.

Most everybody has alluded to that, even Dagys.

With the current ALMS crowd, and the "normal" PLM crowd, plus the others shown in the list above, I still come up with only about 44 or 45.

So where are these 50 cars coming from? By your calculations you need 5-6 cars more. How and Why would Formula Le Mans cars becoming over? That makes little to no sense. I agree with FD, something is afoot. |

it is just too bad it isn't 44 real and true sports cars, instead of 30-35 sports cars and 10-15 spec racers to get in the way

Get over it.
Now then, we're sitting at 34 cars. Fully-subscribed LMPC and GTC classes pushes that to 40. A 2nd Robertson Ford GT, 2nd Rocketsports Jaguar, and the PTG Panoz Abruzzi adds up to f3. The Porsche 911 hybrid comes to 44. Then, we have two Audis, two Peugeots, at least one Oak Pescarolo, and it sounds like Oreca is coming to the party. That's 50 right there. If Oak bring a second, there's 51. A third Audi, if Oreca is bolstering Peugeot, brings us to 52. An ACS Ford GT puts us on 53 entries. A third Flying Lizard puts u on 54, and an added Ferrari from one of the squads puts us at 55 cars. |

Does the Oreca arrangements include just the Pug or will they bring over their prototype as per last year. |

Considering we're in a global economic recession, the situation is really not too poor.
I wasn't alive then, so this is from what my dad tells me and from what I've read, but didn't Le Mans get entries in the low thirties in the early 1990s? Certainly, sports car racing is in far better health than it was then. |

What are the chances of some the LMPCs that haven't been entering some of the races this season showing at PLM? Comprent is just down the road a piece, but if they don't have the funds, they aren't going anywhere, from what I understand.
Mariantic has stated that the ORECA Pug is NOT coming to PLM. NO Euro GT2 cars coming has been reported With "FULL" Challenge classes and all the "ifs" included, I get 55. Too many ifs and buts for my liking to "count" on it. I believe we are splitting hairs here; we need additional Euro teams coming to get us over the big 5-0. But who cares, right? It's quality, not quantity, man, and with all that are confirmed so far, we got both, no? |

I don't know how the LMPC chassis have changed hands since landing on US soil, or how many are here for that matter. The car that Primetime ran is presumably available, and I thought I heard on SPEED yesterday that the Intersport car was a new chassis for that race, what happened to the old one? And like you said, Comprent may have one and there was a rumor prior to Sebring of a chassis sitting in Alex Job's shop. So I guess what I'm getting at is there might already be 10 lmpc cars in the States and you're right, they could be entered.
