If Jarvis pushed and cost Mazda a 1-2 finish i doubt we'd see him back in the car at CTMP.

The state of the 55 rear end is getting worse. It'll be putting a lot of stress on the left side endplate.

IMSA Radio seem to be unaware of how broken the rear of the 55 is. It's clear why Jarvis is pushing.

Mazda has been trying to win since it entered prototype back in what ... 2013? If Mazda throws away this opportunity ... I could finally write them off permanently.
I have been a fan since they were winning Grand-Am titles with Speedsource. Then they hired Tristan Nunez to driver---and win in--the diesel coupe, and then went to ALMS with a diesel prototype and I was thrilled. Then the team put on a four-year clown show. And even when Joest---JOEST-- came in, it took a couple seasons to overcome Mazda's bad habits. Now finally, everything might pay off---if they blow it now, forget them. |

If--IF---Mazda tells Tincknell to pull aside, great. Jarvis has the faster car right now. Otherwise, Ollie Jarvis just needs to wait his turn. Mazda can win again if they can win here---and if they can throw away this chance .... maybe they will never win.

I'm not sure they can ... or at least, it may take so long that Jarvis might not be there any more when it happens again.

JH talking about debris removed from the 55. It was removed from the left rear wheel arch, it was stuck in the big honking hole. It was not part of the Mazda.

I can't see the stewards leaving that if it gets any worse. Tincknell has slowed down a lot too, Jarvis is ready to pass.
Edit - I might have been on the money with the coupling being shaken loose, as the engine cover would be the attachment point. |

77, smartly, not sitting in behind the 55 in case this comes loose.
Meanwhile, the deck and wing are still moving about too. |

Hindy just nailed it on the head - This is the only way to keep the mazda cool and from catching fire.

No reason not to keep pressing on .... if the car doesn't get black-flagged it wins, and if anything else happens, Jarvis wins ... but good to preserve the one-two if possible.
