While I'd like the 009 to get pole I won't be too upset if the Strakka car gets it

It may be! No one's last lap is within 8 seconds of their best. Hard to believe that the entire field would be on an in/out lap.

EDIT: Nevermind, situation normal.

What's the best site for Live Timing? I think there's a better one than the LMS version

LMS has two versions, the nice looking one, and the one ^^above^^ with a bit more data. I don't think this one auto-refreshes, however.

Yeah, last in P1??

I'm sort of glad though; I didn't want to see Audis dominate every single round.

Congratulations to Strakka and Racing Box for pole!

After seeing the driver lineups, I didn't anticipate them to challenge the class leaders at all - on pace, anyway.

So far their re-entry in the F3 Euroseries is also not very successful. In testing they were almost 2 seconds off the pace.

Maybe they concentrate on race pace.

So pole is only approximately 1 second slower than the 908's 2008 pole, and 1 second quicker than the 2008 'petrol' pole, impressive.

So much for diesel power, even with the R15 rear wing, though I expect them to be quicker come race day.

It looks like the new chassis/aero is making the difference for the leading cars, what with Kolles and OEECA struggling a touch.

Neither are they a club set-up, they have Audi support and development parts.

Looking at the times it looks as though they've lost around 2 seconds with the restrictor cut and wing change, the petrol cars have the same '08 restrictors, but the leading cars all have new '09 aero which seems to have overcome, and more, the wing cut.

The P2 cars have also had a restrictor and wing cut on par with the diesel P1's, and similarly have lost 2 seconds.

Jarek Janis replaced by Benjamin Leuenberger @ Spyker!

Quote:
SNORAS Spyker Squadron driver Tom Coronel will be joined by Benjamin Leuenberger in the 1000 km race tomorrow. Swiss driver Benjamin Leuenberger will replace Jarek Janis after he suffered from an old neck injury. Spyker Squadron team management decided it was better for Jarek not to drive.

This afternoon the team found Alexandre Pesci, Spyker partner and team owner of Swiss Speedy Racing, prepared to use one of his LMP2 drivers to drive the Spyker GT2 car in tomorrow's race. Benjamin drives a Lola LMP2 Coupe this year with Jonny Kane and Xavier Pompidou. The Swiss team will race tomorrow with two drivers.

The team feels very sorry for Jarek, he did do very well this weekend. We are grateful that Alexandre Pesci and Benjamin Leuenberger positively replied to our call for help.
