Still being a mere trainee, I'm not marshalling but will be spectating on the friday-does anyone know if my BRDC Marshal's pass will get me anywhere joe public can't go? I'm guessing not but worth a try!

Probably not Steve. They are next to useless for the GP. You could try your luck though.

Actually this is probably a good time for the "please don't take the **** on the pit walk" post.

This pit walk only happens because a number of people at a high level begged for it, agreed that it would be run at local level so put no additional burden on security resources and wouldn't turn out to be a problem. The pit marshals stay on in their own time to help with it.

Each year so far there have been marshals:

- who come into the pit lane via the entrance road as the last cars are coming in and before the walk has started

- marshals who have tried to climb over the centre gates and through the holes in the pit wall

- and each year there have been people who have given their tabards to their wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/father/friend (you get the idea) and they have just tried to just wear their probans. Please don't do it, it's really obvious when folks have done that.

Please don't spoil it for others. I know it would be great if guests could come in but unfortunately that's not the deal (and I doubt that there is capacity for this) so please, play nicely

Further to Piglet's comments, I am happy to look after marshals' bags and other kit by the centre pitwall gate but PLEASE do not try and enter there, you must use pit exit gate.

Cheers Bryan, was it you that did that for us last year? that was our only issue, our kit bags were heavy! and carting them up the pitlane was not an exciting prospect!

D16 for me..... hope it's flatter than last years pitch. We had to re-locate to the bottom of the hill, as the Campervan was in fear of falling over if we'd stayed where we were allocated.

Try it, there's nothing to lose...
ASP, Can you guide me through leaving a post on the social page, I cnnot see where on the screen that gives me the option to write anything. I have never posted anything before, I assume you have been on here a while, what would be the chance of a positive reply re spare tickets?

D25 with our usual Castle Combe outpost.

Would anybody be travelling to Silverstone on the Thursday morning via the A41 between Aylesbury and Bicester and would be able to give me a lift? I've arranged to leave my car in for some suspension setup work and need to get from them to Silverstone for 12:00 to do the afternoon installation laps. It's just me all my gear is coming up by other means.

P26 for me. Looks like I will need to find some levelling blocks. I didn't realise there were that many rows - must be near Towcester somewhere.
