As at 8.30 pm the event is back on in its 6 hour form, apparently there are 21 entries who will be paid up on Monday.

I think I'll still wait for confirmation, but it's great news if this is true...any word on support categories?

Thats great news, how did we jump from 13 entries to 21 entries in no time? were teams a bit slow on committing to the event. Any word on those 21 entries?

A shame locals like the reigning race winners (Hunter Subaru) and the Pro-Duct cars seemingly aren't entered (going by the speedcafe article), they would have spiced it up abit given last years efforts.
Will still be a good race though, will be watching with interest |

Should be a great race... most of the leading EVO's appear to be there - the TMR entry, the Easts/Wall EVO, the Quinns, Greg Symes with Glenn Seton alongside in his EV0 9, Jim Pollincina's entry with Dean Lillee sharing, and the Thomas CXC Car. Will be a great shoot out between these cars over the distance. The lone Subaru, the WBR/CNW car completes Class A and if Sandown is anything to go by, this car will take the fight up to the EVOs.
The GWS 335, the Robinson Typhoon F6 both appear to be missing from the entry which is a shame. No Pro-Duct cars, or the Hunter car have fronted. The Morcoms team up with Chaz Mostert in a 135 BMW, and the Sherrins also have their 135 entered. Will be interesting to see how these cars shape up. The Sherrin entry was quick at the Morgan park round, so with the Eastern Creek North Circuit having some quick straight bits, these cars should be worth watching with interest. A few of the class regulars are also missing, but i think given the time of year (2nd week of December) getting 23 cars to a 6 hour race is an excellent effort. If you look at things like GT, F3 etc that struggle to get double digit grids at some rounds. I understand that the date has been moved forward for this event for next year on the prospective AMC calendar to the first week of November... making it much better. With all the cars sitting around the countryside... if some extras came out to play it isn't unfeasible to get over 30 cars, which would be a great result. |

GWS cars are not entered due to their entry in the 12 Hour. They had their last hit out before that race at the state round at EC in mid-October.

Car 1 will be tough to beat, but I think #29 and #38 will push it all the way. Should be a great race.

I'm very happy to see my good mate Greg Symes in 3rd. I think he's still running the same buttermilk yellow paintscheme (I'm Symes Coaches livery designer)
