Round about when the prospect of the event happening becomes real.

And I guess that may take a little time yet.

Might be fun whoever it is. Just to be in at the first showing of a new venture can be interesting.

Quite a nice list of teams there but we need a English, French and another Spanish team to make this concept good.

Thanks. But who is running each of the teams? I read somewhere today that Playteam will be running both Milan and Galatasaray.

Superleague to test at Barcelona
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/67050

I've gone full circle on this. Thought it would be a bit of a white elephant, but after being against the idea, I find myself getting enticed and look forward to Donnington

Is there any news on driver line ups? Will drivers from GP2, F3, A1 WSR etc be taking part?

Would seem to me to be an ideal practise ground for F1 test drivers to keep there eye in whilst not getting much racing action ie. Marko Asmer

Can anyone bring me upto speed on the series?

I wonder what the chances are of the cars being quicker than some of the F1 times were at Barcelona? 750bhp is a lot of power, more than some of the cars in the F1 field I would think and whilst the cars probably dont produce as much areodynamic grip as F1 cars do at the moment I would think that they have a similar ammount of grip compared to a F1 car overall thanks to slick tyres. On paper at least the car should be a little quicker than a GP2 car, it has around 100bhp more after all which should give a performance gain over the GP2 cars but I doubt its quite as good areo wise. The GP2 pole time was only 4.1 seconds off of the slowest F1 time this year.

The only thing I dont like just yet is that there isnt any English clubs signed up to the series, I mean im not a football fan really but it would be nice to see us represented in some way. Yes I know Rangers are Scottish and therefore part of GB but first and foremost I count myself as English rather than British.

I don't think there's much risk of outperforming F1, but GP2 will be clearly caned. I think there isn't as much aero grip there, although supposedly the SF car has some ground effect.

Well, it would help. There would be a lot of publicity if a Big Four club signed up there would be a lot of publicity.

My idea on race format is 2 races, race 1 they race one way around the circuit, then race 2, they race the other way around!!
