Looking at the times from Q1, Audi and Toyota weren't even pushing hard, as both teams were 2-3 seconds a lap slower than in FP.

With batteries situation is different because you have to get to proper power rating, this means higher capacity than actually needed. So, if that happened to Porsche maybe they would be capable to drive a little longer in EV mode, theoretically full 6 MJ could get you 8 km with a very slow drive to the pits. |

and Bruni set a pretty untouchable 1.47.6 in sector 3 for GTE. 991's are mega down the straights.

Theres no top speed data on the timing site from Toyota for the qualifying session. Strange.

The specific sector times (e.g., Porsche curves) are also missing for both Toyotas and Porsche #20: http://fiawec.alkamelsystems.com/Res...actice%201.PDF

I guess that porsche is already satisfied of the 3.23 and they simply don't think to be able to run faster than that. Afterall the question is: can toyota's be able to hit 3.21 for real?

..but if you add Porsche's best sector times you get 3:22.689 so they can obviously go faster. The question is rather; will they risk it?

He's out, being replaced by Gene. Turvey will take Gene's seat at Jota.
Surely that's got to be a new tub. "Rebuild" indeed. |

Like Trigger's favourite broom. He only replaced the handle six times and the head seven times.
Still pretty amazing to build up a new car that quickly. |

SMP Racing also had to build a new car for #37
One car has also been withdrawn according to Dagys on Twitter but no confirmation of which car it actually is. Last edited by tux; 12 Jun 2014 at 13:39. |

I have just seen another pic of Duvel's accident from yesterday on Twitter (which is also on the Autosport Website) and he was a very lucky boy.

Will there be added time to tonight's Q3 to make up for last night's lost track time? I remember something similar being done last year or the year before.
Agree with the comments re Code 60 and marshals being out on track but I believe the race will run smoother when they practice the new process during practice/qualifying. Also 'denying' some of the gentlemen/amateur drivers quite a bit of track time might backfire in the race... |
