Why do 5 cars get 2 onboad cameras? I would much rather like 10 cars each with 1 camera...

Apologies if this has been asked already (haven't read the first six pages!), is there any coverage of pre-qual being shown this weekend?

Cheers Bently, I'd forgotten about RLM, that won't be too bad then!
I've got bottles of beer to start the bottle mountain, tons of sorting out to do before next week but I'll have to make sure it's all somewhere close to a PC! |

To add insult to injury, they will no doubt be together, chatting inanely about nothing interesting. I only hope they aren't doing the night time commentary, otherwise I shall lapse into coma. |

I can't see any Le Mans coverage on Eurosport's TV schedule for June 17th. Please say it isn't so.

I can't watch MotorsTV in Belgium because it is encripted. I tried to search it. This is kinda ****ing me off... I've been looking forward to this race all year.
Can someone tell me how I can still watch the race. I've heard of a 24h feed and according to an earlier post someone told something that you can get it for free via kingofsat.net thank you |

no, you cant get it free anymore. The channel on 16°E is crypted now too.
Watching over a feed is always a problem because you dont know on which sat the feed is transmitted until a few hours before the race starts. Also you need for example a budget dvb-s card (for example skystar2) for your pc becuase feeds are normaly in 4:2:2 colour style and a normal setop box isnt able to show that. |

This is all great for people who've got Sky and Motors on it, but I haven't so i'm gonna miss coverage for the frist time in about 10 years!!
So sorry folks but i'm anything but happy about this development!! I'll have to wait and see if there's any highlights packages on British terrestrial as I doubnt any of the mickey mouse cable/satellite channels will bother. |

Looks like german premiere shows the race uncrypted
19,2°E. I will post the frequency, SymbolRate, FEC,VideoPid, AudioPid and so one if the coverage starts. They use different subchannels and many setop boxes arent able to show the subvideo directly, but i will post the all the parameters so you everybody is able to watch the race. |

It costs Euro5,000 per hour to have a helicopter in the sky, so it's quite a commitment to have any on-boards at all. |

But would it increase costs if there was same amount of cameras but mounted on different cars?

Come on people, we have 24h live in an unencrypted channel on 19,2°E, a sat position mostly complete europe is able to catch. And we have RLM for Audio. Do we realy have to talk about a few more or less inboard cameras?
We have to say thanks to the ACO and Audi, who pay the Premiere deal if you ask me. |
