Not Shell, Caltex is the one buying what is left of the Mobil retail network.. subject to ACCC approval of course

Pro Racer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
just had a listen to V8 Insiders (link, show 177) and they asked D'Alberto what is he doing in 2010 and he said he has NFI and that eventually they want to do there on thing REC wise. Insiders also said RNR are talking with a few teams in pitlane and look likely to link with SGR.

who knows?????

This is possibly all fiction and no fact, but posted it anyway as it suits the thread title.
Didn't lowndes already sign with T8?

And lol @ Richards. Poor dick, having the 2 worst drivers for driving into other people.

I'd say he was not aware of the date clash when he signed on for this years' show. He said at the time that it was a multi year deal. And who would have expected in Feb of this year that we would have a race before clipsal!

My Favourite 08 moment was when Courtney/Besnard comeback drive at Bathurst. Courtney raced through to dominate the opening stint had 15 sec. gap to Lowndes who was in 2nd. In the 2nd stint a slowly deflating tyre (originally diagnosed as a damaged anti-roll bar) slowed Besnard's stint in Courtney's car allowing Whincup to assert dominance over the field rest of the race. On lap 160 S.Richards, fading badly on rear tyres was unable to stop Courtney move into 3rd place.

for starters SGR won't downsize they are looking to merge/technically link up if you have been looking around this site and others.

GMAC will not be seen sponsering a V8, ever.

whether it happens or not is not my point. my point is that in racenuts list he has Tasman gone, they won't be gone they are looking to link up with someone and if that dosn't happen (which it's likely it won't) then they will stay the same.

I said Tasman Motorsport will merge into KRT.

although it is stated that SGR want to increase their performance to then be able to market their product, and doing this by expanding/merging, commercial reality and REC reality might actually make Racenut's (shock horror) prediction plausible. I can't see any other scenario coming off, apart from BAU for both teams

This list is highly illogical. GMAC won't come back. RNR are going to be with FPR (reportly). Besides that, nothing much isn't going to change from this year. Why did this ist have to pollute this thread, it was going great without it.

Bright to stay at SBR??

And/Or PCR to become the 4th SBR-prepared Falcon in 2010?

And/Or Britek to sell off its 2nd REC?

Or none of the above??

The release from Mr Bright asks more questions than it potentially answers. There are no firm plan detailed for sponsors, for team preparation, for manufacturer next season.

Given that the new season is only 4 months away, you would have imagined that these things might already be nailed down!

There are loads of rumours around Britek, another to add to the pile is the possible move of the #25 REC to the Travelling Alburies... as a 3rd car alongside the existing BOC & WOW units, alongside the 2010 driver line up of Mr Richards & Mr Jones, with Holden factory blessing and assistance, with Mr McConville allegedly headed for retirement to media duties

The music is playing right now.. it will soon stop.. and where everyone sits, if they indeed get to sit, is the $64 question for now

McConville should retire. He's got a gig in the media as a motorsport personality. He should use it to his advantage.

Actually he wasnt bad on the Singapore GP coverage yesterday. Seemed to flow a lot better than when he was just the 'experteye'. Perhaps #10 might like to keep him in that role, and use Mr Rust as colour man?

Greg is well aware of the date clash and is committed to his multi-year Top Gear Live deal.

It helps to build on his Kiwi persona for when he retires from driving and becomes Prime Minister

The thought is Mr Skaife may take his place at Yas Marina or maybe a local talent may bring a supertanker of oil along for the ride.
