If there are 80 teams (like last year), lets say on average 3 drivers per team...thats 240 numbers.....there will be double ups...

Monday 27th of Feb saw the unveiling of the 06 charger of the ever confident Phoenix Motorsport,

Team owner Helix was quoted as saying "not bad, ill have to give my 2yr old neice another chocky frog for her efforts on this design"

The only two present media reps were quoted as saying " oooo ahhh".

Team MVMotorsport returns from Hiatus!

Team MV Motorsport is pleased to announce that after sitting out the 2005 season due to selling their L1 licences at hyper inflated prices and not being able to procure the required L2 licences to go racing, that they are returning to the track in 2006.

Unfortunately they have lost the sponsorship of Oakley which had been held in the 2003 and 2004 seasons. However the sponsorship void has been filled by SORF Incorporated, a company with strong ties to the motor sport industry, yet this is the first time that they have had naming rights sponsorship of a team. The team will be known as SORF Inc MV Motorsport.

A stringent recruitment process was undertake in order to find the drivers for SORF Inc MV Motorsport. The primary considertion was the size of Daddy's bank accounts. Driving ability was not a primary consideration, nor marketablility to potential sponsors given the readily accessable cash in Daddy's bank accounts.

As a result, the drivers hired for the 2006 are Greg Murphy, heir to the Kevin Murphy Racing fortune, despite proving he has ability; Paul Dumbrell, heir to Garry's fortune from the sale to Fred Gibson, and Marcus Marshall, heir to the No Limit fortune.

The team has not spent much on livery, preferring to concentrate on having enough spares available given Paul's knack of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The team looks forward to the challenges that lie ahead in this expanded season and hope to get off to a good start at the Clipsal 500 in a few weeks time.
