Lee, please e-mail the CSCC directly to give them your details & details of the car; they will then add you to the database of vehicles and interested people that are available. The intention is to start looking at who to invite at some point after the Race Rero Historic motorsport show is out of the way.

Its a great looking car & I'm sure its the sort of thing that the club are looking for.

Andy, can't remember whether I have mentioned it before, but have you looked here:-

http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112642

and here:-

http://www.oldracingcars.info/marque...ist-1964-1993/

The latter is particularly useful if you are trying to identify eligible cars.

Thanks John, yes I've seen those - good info & I have used them already. Fortunately we are still getting people approach us at the moment without having to chase!

Can you run through the under bonnet spec for us on here.

A crazy device (and I mean that in the best way..........)

Hmm, I would love to go to this, I have to make a decision as I have something on at the same time. I am more in the way of going to see this to be honest!

Excellent!

Looks like a great opportunity to see some real gutsy racecars out there and the CSCC have taken the lead with a gap in the current race series. The old footage on links from the earlier threads is great but what really stood out was the size of the crowds! I heard on one link that Gerry was racing in a Radio 1 sponsored race. Wow has it changed since then. No popular backing these days and no spectators. Maybe we've lost the excitement - this race looks like it might start to bring it back?

As a spectator of a certain age this really makes me nostalgic. I was at mallory when Gerry won the championship in 1976 as a 16 year old and the clips above really give a great feel for the sport in those days. The really bad news for me though is it looks like i'll be away on family holiday for the Mallory race. My wife doesn't agree that she should give up on 3 weeks in the South of France so I can have one day at Mallory Park.

Surely a one-day break from the holiday could be negotiated, and Ryanair or sqeezyjet could whisk you hither and thither......

Will it be ready to race on August Bank Holiday? Please contact the CSCC so that your details can be added to the list of contacts with suitable cars. We are really hoiping to get these cars out in a series next year, not just a one off race this year.

Don't worry, from my experience the Mallory scrutineer doesn't know the special saloon car regulations. But the one has possibly retired by now.
