Just before this thread gets any more re-volt-ing puns, and to return to the original question - I'll be up for seeing watt it's all about...

It's racing, Jim, but not as we know it - there's a lot of heavy investment trying to make this work, and it's happening in the UK, which is great for expanding the British motorsport industry. I'm sure their marketing effort will get plenty of attention and good spectator turnout for something new.

I'll be looking to volunteer for Battersea when the details come out - for a start my son lives nearby so that'll save camping in the park!

This weeks Autosport "local council consent given, [so the] race, set for June 27, [is] subject to normal procedures of planning permission"

And we know how long that can take so don't hold your breath - 2016??

So,

there is

AMPle time

to sort out B&B's

No clash for some of us, you'll only see racing at one of these events.

I'm already planning to attend the Berlin round at the end of May.

Well, I'm definately going to Berlin, it all depends on what ADAC say tomorrow whether I marshal or hurl abuse at my German buddy.

Apologies for bringing this thread back on topic, but here are some marshal notes on the Formula E cars (credit to Long Beach organisers' for publishing the notes). Hopefully they'll provide some interest.

With all the clash's', it appears there will be a 'National Grid' lock on the availability of marshals

Well we certainly seem to fluctuate currently, between two poles, with an element of both main schools of thought.

Oh! Have I wandered off topic again?

It would appear so, but no problem as we have been 'a-weighting' such input, and this thread has been - for some time - 'alternating' between Off & On Topic.

So ... OT continued -

I went on a BUS the other day, when I got off I made a Daisy Chain, from flowers I found in the undergrowth, hidden under DeepCover

I then went into a field, and found some Fibre, Channel ling itself on a Long Term Evolution

I left quickly - there was going to be a RAID.

etc, etc,

Several points of interest there, not least it's apparently been translated very well by someone who's first language is not English.

Hadn't thought about needing lights to tell you it's on - no audible signal from the driver revving the knackers off it means he's about to go!
Extinguisher pull does extinguishers and electrics with a separate electrics only. That's actually a good idea.
Marshals extinguishers CO2. Remember which ones to take and extra training in their use? (remember not to hold the bits that will become cold.)
A lot of 'report to race director' and 'on the rescue truck'. Do they take their own dedicated teams, as ChampCar did?

Yeah, thanks from me too for that document. I saw also that the Americans will also have a compulsory training session (on the Friday?)

I believe that's the case. Will be there two weeks after the race (for the GP) so will try and glean as much info as possible from those on the GROUND ;-)
