How was last years coverage much better than Ten? I am a bit skeptical about that. Fox only showed V8 Supercars and Formula 1 sessions. Judging by the TV guide Ten will show 3x Porsche Carrera Cup, 3x Ulimate Speed Comparisons, 2x Australian GT, 4x V8s and Formula 1 sessions. I don't see how that matches up.

Like a small box with racing and a huge box with ads

the Fox coverage is just the Sky UK version isn't it? The V8 coverage last year was totally seperate, hosted from a studio (Yates, Skaife & Ingall) with them taking the Channel 10 commentary of, from memory, Richard Craill & Jack Perkins.

The racing by was quite good today.

Perhaps helped by the changeable weather, but interesting new nonetheless.

You might want to "do some research" yourself but this is a MUCH bigger deal for OH&S than AGT or Carerra Cup where you have lots of micro-businesses loosely arranged under a category umbrella, not a single business with a whole bunch of shareholders employing 500+ people.

I pay my WorkCover for my employees - do you?
Try another angle on dedicated pit facilities for VESA because your OH&S argument based on professionalism, investment or size of business isn't holding much water. As someone who 'pays for Workcover' you should be well aware OH&S has the same legal requirements for everyone from the broom sweeper on the factory floor to the front office drones regardless the size of the business.

Though I do admit. Watching you hit rock bottom and continue to dig is always funny.

Really? Which part of it is funny?

I would be interested to read your thoughts if TCM or Formula 4 were to roll out something similar for future rounds.

As has been mentioned V8SC tries to tell everyone they are the most professional sport in Australia, it even publicly criticizes journalists for their 'humour' and for not knowing about their events but then rolls out something like this?

Do you see the irony and hypocrisy?

oh its very funny, great sledge against the multi billion dollar F1 regime

Remind me again why isnt this round for points, Its very simple, because F1 wont let them.

The irony and hypocrisy is the posters who accept in F1 what they insult v8 supercars for

Looks that way. Penske/DJR, HRT or PRA might be fighting for scraps this year.

They're all playing nice at the moment. The interest at 888 will be if the gloves need to come off later in the year when the pressure for points comes into it.

FOR ALL the debate about whether the V8s should race for points or not at the Australian Grand Prix and whether teams are trying, the same rules still apply.

Unfortunately for Jamie Whincup, that memo slipped past his desk.

The six-time V8 Supercar champ was so pumped with his victory ahead of two Triple Eight teammate, he celebrated with a burnout.

Despite his positive show of feelings at the end of a race he received no points for, he was handed a $3,000 fine by the stewards for breaching the ‘End of Race Procedures – No burnouts’ law.

So as well as heading back to the hotel with a lighter wallet and zero championship points for his efforts, you have to wonder whether this affair was a bit pointless in more ways than one. The world’s gone a bit mad when a driver is punished for doing his part to help a cause.

Might need to redefine great sledge if that's your marker for it.

As been highlighted - that kind of childish behaviour doesn't reflect well on an organisation that is trying pass itself off as professional

So why do Carrera cup and Australian GT run championship rounds at the AGP? I think the old bernie doesn't let us is a bit weak - could it be that v8sa requirements don't fit in with the realities of the Australian formula 1 GP?

Hasn't v8sc supported F1 races before in the Middle East - no issue there for Bernie?
