Great pic there, Garcon.

The Champion livery always looks insipid by daylight - but at night it looks stunning.

but as I do no editing while shooting, it's clear there must be a half with cars cut or out of focus

one of the worse (and yes, it's a pescarolo)

Finally got some time to put a gallery together. Pictures are of all sorts (including HT shot and the BC ladies FG1!). Here is the link (click '04 Le Mans in the left menu bar)

Also an request to other photographers -- before the start we were in front of the big grandstands. I would love to recieve some pictures to complete an *orange* gallery on the site!

I'll try to make another gallery of the TT meetings on Friday and Saturday.

nice stuff. i like that wide shot of the wr at the dunlop bridge, gives a real feeling of the chill at dawn this year. the two vettes at the other side of the bridge is interesting...and the zytek and the dome at arnage(?)is very interesting - i think i might have a look at that next year...do we really have to wait 50 weeks for it to come round again?

Thanks KDR! -- really like your shots too (I badly need access in front of the fences next year). The Zytek and Dome shots were taken on Thursday at the Porsche curves.

Facing some post-Le Mans stress too Only thing you can do about it is visit some other events. Spa will be great (both 24hrs and LMES).

vandijk...i understand now how you got those shots at the porsche curves, i went there on sunday as the sun was rising looking for something new. it actually helps you being higher up the bank than me...because you just don't see that picture down behind the tyre barriers.

you've done a good job considering you had to deal with the fences. those side on stock panned pictures of the goh, rollcenter etc at the esses...really clear and sharp.

i think the spa 24 hours clashes with my family holiday, and the lmes at silverstone takes place during the olympic games. i'm in athens for 3 weeks editing other photographers pictures...good - but i'm not happy as vanina ickx might be at silverstone!

You are right KDR. We stood on the sandwall but you need a long lens to avoid the fences. Difficult to shoot. Last April photographers in front of the fence were asked to walk further to the left. If you see the marks on the tarmac you know why.

Thanks, there are some great spots but you are never able to play with the light and make another composition... so overall the shots are kind of boring because they are all taken from the same posisiton and angle... Any open positions at Getty? ;-)

Is there anywhere where I can put my photos - as an amateur (and at the risk of blowing my own trumpet (mod - smilie??) ) i've got some half decent shots.
