Does AVESCO know something we dont....
From this "official" release Here "Skaife claimed the 34th pole position of his career – he is third on the all-time list of drivers starting on the front of the grid to Allan Moffat (39) and Peter Brock (57) – with his Holden Racing Team team-mate Rick Kelly alongside him." |

WTF, how the hell can a team be under weight so far into the season, i find that un excuesable, but then again after his effort at winton involving ambrose maybe karma has come & bitten him on the arse Last edited by dennisonthenet; 14 Aug 2004 at 10:14. |

Its not the weight of the car thats incorrect, the driver missed calling into the AVESCO weighbridge, so his times from that session were scrubbed....
It has happened to Dale Brede amongst others during the year.... |

They have a set of lights (red and green) and if you get a red it's your responsibility to pull in and be weighed. Bowe must have ignored the light. He was having brake problems. With the reinterpretation of the rule book now anything wrong and you are out for the session - no excuses. |

I believe it's random. You hear the crew chief's telling the drivers over the in car radio's to be aware of the lights.

Random except they do it to the top 3 at the end of the races as well. even if they are picked for a random test as well...
I reckon they should weight all the cars at the end of qualifying & the race(s)... .. they do it in PROCAR, and found a driver last weekend that had a car less than 5kg underweight.... and he had been running the same unit for at least 2 years.... |

Meantime, well done and congratulations to Mr Coulthard & Mr Walden, both of who ripped huge chunks out of their practice times to make the main series field.
Mr Walden looked gone for all money, but his team worked hard between practice and qualifying, replacing dampers amongst other setting changes (and stopping the diff widdling some of Motul's finest) for the car to improve 2.4 seconds from practice to qualifying.... Meantime, Mr Coulthard did exceptionally well in an unfamiliar car to lop a second off the times between practice & qualifying to both |

it was stopped 3 minutes early, because they is a rule that says the session can not go 15mins longer than the scheduled finish time... And because they was so many red flags it finished early
More importantly, does anyone know why a Mr G.Seton did to go out to play???? |
